I have used many kits to hard wire my radar detector. The weakest point in all the ones I have used, is the sturdiness of the cord and the modular plug. I have had a few instances where the radar mount has dislodged from the windshield and when this does, the wire is ripped from the plug. I didn’t really need the cigarette lighter adapter or the remote mute function. The suction mount is the same as the original and works better than the regular flimsy ones, however it’s not full proof. I just wanted the cable for how it is constructed to the modular plug. It has fallen once since install with no issues at all. Pricy for just the cable but very happy with the construction. ... show more

Super easy install. They even send an add a fuse for ease of install into your fuse box. Just mount, run wires to fuse box and hookup with an add a fuse and your all set. Literally took 20 min to install and my car was a little bit of a pain to run the wires so could be a faster i install in most other vehicles ... show more

The mute button works as advertised, comes in real handy so you can stay focused on the road. Highly recommend and well worth the investment

This seems a bit pricey for what it is but it does the job of putting the mute button in a more convenient location. The wires could be longer to accommodate more creative runs to get around your airbags but I imagine a regular RJ11 extension can be used.

Works as designed, easy to setup and had enough length for my car. Makes it a lot easier than reaching up each time to hit the mute button.

A great addition to a very good radar detector. Makes hitting the mute button very easy when placed and wired properly. Highly recommend this for Uniden radar.
