I will be traveling soon and knew I would do alot of walking I wanted an umbrella that would protect me from the sun without it being too big to walk down sidewalks and with the sun not glaring through thin material this has exceeded my expectations . The sun does NOTshine through and it is the perfect personal side shade.. Kind of hard to close but nothing to stop a purchase also does not have a button for release or extend the only reason for the missing star ... show more

That's says it all...the umbrella canopy was small..barely fit 1 under it. Cheap ...handle felt like it would bend in the wind. Rickety.. the spolks were horrible too .I hoped alll day the 1 time I used that it wouldn't break so I could return it! Thankfully we made it. I didn't get burnt though which is why I bought it ... show more

I used this under the beating sun, in Washington DC, a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. Kept me cooler and the lavender color is so pretty. Easy to open and close and I like the case it came with, too. We also have this in the matcha green, which is a beautiful color, too!
