  • Just buy it!
I wanted to save some money and get the Harbor Freight trailer, but I took a chance on this trailer and WOW am I impressed. It looks great. I mean it just looks like a good quality trailer. The wife was even happy with how good it looks. Had some stranger stop me at Home Depot (getting the plywood for it) and asked me where I got it and was impressed by how it looked. As others have stated, the instructions are not the best, but they are not totally useless either. With some studying and looking at the pictures it all comes together and makes a little bit of sense. I only had to redo two bolts, nope four bolts (wrong bolts on the rear spring) out of what seemed like 267,000 bolts. It took me around 10 hours by myself to put it all together. It's heavy but no so much that you can't flip it yourself. What was heavy was the box that the wheels/bolts came in. I lifted it but thought forget that, and took the parts out of the box. The electrical instructions are a mess. If you read the first line or three you'll see that it makes no sense and you might as well throw them away and use your common sense. The little pictures did help some. I am very impressed by how the trailer tracks, it's so smooth and straight. Bumps in the road are not user friendly and the trailer will bounce a lot when empty/not much of a load. The trailer is not easy to see when backing up empty, but with my kayak loaded it made it very visible and extremely easy to maneuver. There is not much reason to back up to the trailer to hitch it, as it's so light it's easier to just pull it to the vehicle. I do back the vehicle up to within a 2-3 feet though. The 45 MPH Limit. Well I'm no car expert/tire expert/bearing expert, but the trailer does perfectly fine at speeds above and beyond 45 mph. Had it in the 70s for several miles and it was nothing but smooth sailing. I seriously couldn't be happier with this purchase. ... show more

  • Finished putting it together - Working great for what it was intended. --- Update. Paying for itself even with mods.
Plus Quick delivery. Came three boxes on a pallet. Lightweight aluminum with steel under carriage to support weight and axles. Grease fitting on wheels. Endorsed certificate of origin came in day after receipt of trailer. Casters let the trailer be positioned very easily when folded. Most bolts/nuts same size. Minus. Wiring instructions need to be updated. There are no removable pins to lock down the back portion. Only bolts included. Those holes do not line up. Yes squared up everything. Rear light protection flimsy. Should provide nylon washers to put between metal at pivot points. --- Update - I did just that and I noticed that the lights were flickering....Doh! - Connected a ground to all three sections....PROBLEM SOLVED. AND - folds easier with the nylon washers. Plastic license plate holder. -- Update - cut overage of diamond tread plate to make own plate holder vertical and above trailer. Put an led lit license plate frame on the license plate to be legal. I'm loving this thing and it continues to save me money in delivery fees! Final comments. You assemble the trailer up side down. When it comes time to flip it you will need help. You may want to consider a mechanism to lift the trailer when folding. Majority of bolts take 5/8" wrench for the bolt and 17mm wrench for the nut. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. Do NOT tighten bolts until completely assembled. Consideration must be given to decking material chosen. I'm NOT going to use plywood. Will work, but will add too much weight IMHO so sticking with aluminum. Thought about expanded metal vs. aluminum diamond tread plate. Going with the diamond tread plate so stuff does not fall through. That's just me over engineering it. This was purchased to haul building material to finish my basement while being able to store it to the side and out of sight while not using it. Working great. It was not purchased to haul stuff on the interstate. Wheels provided state 55 MPH Max speed limit, manufacturer stated 45 MPH Max (see answer to a question). Just be aware of that for your intended use. For me, home to big box hardware store and back on local roads, priceless. Pictures show wire loom (conduit) and a lifting device used to assist in placing on casters neither of which comes in the package. Does not come with aluminum tread plate decking. Only showing finished product for my use. ... show more

  • Junk. Stay away from it.
Junk. Holes don't line up, instructions look like direct translation from chinese. Don't get suckered into this one

  • Great lightweight trailer. You can safely tow this @ 60mph. (Read further)
The box came in looking a little rough, but everything was there and accounted for. Assembles in a couple hours. The lighting diagrams are much to be desired (outdated and don't make sense). I would wire your own ground to all of your lights to make it easier to troubleshoot down the road if need be. I have mine planked out with 5/4 Decking treated boards and 1x8 treated for the sides with 2x4 treated boards for the cleats on the sides. I opted for stainless steel hardware- locking nuts/bolts/washers all around. About 160 lbs in treated wood (when it dried in a couple weeks) and much stronger then your typical plywood (which doesn't fit that well with the pivot hinge for folding-- its really 45-46 inches wide here). Gross weight rating of this is 1470 lbs- the trailer itself weighs in at around 190lb and 160lbs in wood= about 1100lbs of trailer weight limit. I've had multiple trips right at the limit and it handles just fine. Don't stress to much on the speed limit of the trailer (45mph) or the tires (55mph), since they both are basically covering their own liabilities. As long as you re-pack the bearings that come in some generic grease with decent stuff, you'll be fine. The hubs don't even get warm on heavy hauling trips, and it works great. ... show more
