I got this Cricut pen adapter kit out of curiosity to see if any part of it was compatible with my Brother Scan 'N Cut. It was a vain hope, I know, but I did wonder if the fact that it was a simple re-sizing adapter would work in my favor. Regrettably, that was not the case. All of the Cricut fittings are significantly smaller and less robust than the Brother ones. Lesson learned!!! I'm going to keep this kit because it IS a very useful set and I may pick up a Cricut one day. As far as a toolset goes, it is a nicely packaged set of adapters that are presented not unlike sockets or drill bits: each one color-coded and supported on its own so it's easy to grab the one you need at a glance. Moreover, it looks like you can just leave the simple adapters on the pens you use the most. The obvious gem of this set is the universal adapter that can accommodate pens of many different sizes. It works exactly like the one I have for my Brother ScanNCut, although it is a smaller size, by being a large cylinder with a screw that can be tightened down to secure the pen inside. Simple and immensely effective. If this is a tool that works well for you, I actually recommend getting a couple of the universal adapters, at least, because when I'm working on a project it's a bit of a hassle to keep screwing it down on pen after pen when I'm shifting between a couple of different markers. Having a couple means you can leave it attached to the pen until you are done with that session. All in all this is a very nice set and, although I cannot use it now, I recommend it as it looks very well made! ... show more

    • Get more out of your Cricut with these pen adapters
What makes this set different "pen adapters" that I have reviewed in the past of the set of pre-made adapters for common pens. With these adapters and the helpful fold out visual explainer you can find the adapter that you just pop your pen or maker in and you are good to go. No calibration need which means changing pens is sooooo much easier. If you want to use a pen or marker that is not supported by the set of simple adapters, the set also includes a more typical adapter that holds the pen with a screw and you need to adjust it to the correct height with the provided tools. This works (hear the groan in my voice) but is not as easy as the pre-made ones. Also, and maybe this is obvious, you really can't use this with pencils unless it is a very small drawing. Why? Because the point wears down. I tested something like this before and did not even think about that. So that is why I mention it here. Oh, and the instructions pointed this out to me. So yeah, I don't know everything. But I know I like this set. ... show more

Being rather new to Cricut, I didn't know that you could use an adapter to write on Cricut projects. I want to be able to eventually print on fabric and then use the fabric in bigger quilt projects and some other projects. So, I ordered this up and I am seriously happy I did. The box has a bunch of colored adapters as well as a mutli-pen adapter. The colored ones are for specific pens and you simply pop the adapter in your cutter and go. The multi-adapter is for many different pens so you have to calibrate the pen height and then secure it wth the thumb screw. I made a test print using my favorite writing pen, the Pilot G2 0,7. It was a snap to calibrate and clamp in then I went ahead and sent the job to the printer. I not only wrote words though, I added some graphics to draw. It did the whole thing with 0 issues. I cannot believe that Cricut doesn't add these with their machines to be honest. Great product, easy to use, well-made, fun, useful, nice to have tools! ... show more

    • These are What I Needed the Whole Time
Before purchasing these I was using a cut down pencil grip as an adapter on my Circuit for a variety of pens and it often didn't work exactly the way I wanted. These are EXACTLY what I needed and they work great. There wasn't a pen or marker in my crafts room that couldn't be adapted with this set other than those too large for the machine. I'm reviewing "Ultimate Pen Adapters Set for Cricut Maker 3/Maker/Venture/Explore 3/Explore/Air 2/Air,15 Quick Insert-to-Go Adapters Holders with an Universal Pen Adapter Set, Fit All Pens Less Than 0.5in" which I received via the VINE program. I have other universal adaptors for my Cricut Maker 3 but because it does take a lot of fiddling and testing, I find I don't use them as much. It's much easier to just plug and go with these adaptors. I've only found a couple of pen types that don’t work and I still have to use the universal adaptor for, but knowing that my Pilots, Sakura and other pends just work with the specific plug and play adaptors is much easier!
