I replaced this one with one I purchased at Home Depot a few years ago. The other one I had was just ok, there was not as many adjustable straps or bungee straps as this one has. Plus, it’s large enough to fit over six chairs, an end table along with the main large table. I can tell this one will outlast the other one by far just by how well it’s made. We needed a cover for our wooden outdoor dining set. With so many options here on Amazon, I did quite a bit of homework. My requirements were straight forward: 1) Waterproof - must prevent water from seeping through and damaging the wooden furniture 2) Fit - our dining set is rectangular, though I can arrange the set to be more of a square shape 3) Value - there are some very expensive options on Amazon; being price sensitive, I didn't need a high-end one but also didn't want to buy a cheap one only to have it last a season Reading through the description and reviews, this cover met #1 and #3 above and I figured I will able to make it work with #2 with some MacGyver'ing. While we've only had it for 1 1/2 months, it has been through snow, sleet, ice, and rain. So while I can't speak to longevity and how it holds up over time, I am able to share some preliminary thoughts and opinions. Pros: I had some concerns around whether this cover is waterproof due to mixed messaging in the description, where they use the words "waterproof" as well as "water resistant." There is a significant difference between these two phrases. So far, this cover appears to be waterproof. At times, we have encountered some significant water pooling (see below for more about this), once even sitting for 3 days. We even had water pool on the cover before completely freeze over for nearly a week. So far, we have not had any water seep through. This cover is also made of some some heavy duty material and comes with a number of straps and buckles to secure it to your set. These straps come in handy and are a good concept, but I think there's room for improvement (see below). It is also very easy to put on and remove. Cons: As with any cover set, our dining set will cause water pooling without any MacGyver'ing. Even after using some tricks from other users, we still haven't been able to completely prevent water pooling. My concern with pooling of water is that it will eventually seep through as the waterproofing breaks down from UV exposure. While the buckles are great at securing the cover to our dining set, they are only placed at each corner. Having buckles on each of the four sides would allow you to create a snug fit to prevent any sagging on the top that allows water to pool. We even took one of the suggestions by another reviewer and put a stick in our table's umbrella hole to elevate the middle of the cover. However, water then pools closer to the edges of the cover. Overall, this cover is doing its job so far. We plan to only use this in the winter months as we use our dining set frequently in warmer weather. We're going to keep an eye on how this holds up over time, but we currently would recommend this to anyone looking for a sturdy dining set cover. ... show more

Did its job protecting my patio furniture for a year in the Florida Sun. It changed colors from the Sun, but that's expected. Exactly one year and 10 days from the purchase date it tore from UV exposure. I have the umbrella cover as well, and it changed colors within a week. They're heavy duty and hold up pretty well in the Wind. The sun is degrading it however, and little bits of the cover in fine sand particle format, is now covering all of my furniture. I imagine if you're protecting in the winter from snow, this cover is fine. But if you're looking for ultraviolet protection, it will do its job in protecting your furniture, but it will last approximately one year. I get Direct sun from dawn until 3 pm. So it gets hammered by the sun, it's not brief sun exposure. It has a 3-year warranty, so I'm contacting the manufacturer to figure out if they will honor the warranty. I will update this post if they do, as I am happy with the cover and how it holds up through heavy winds and storms. **2020 August Update: the manufacturer honored the warranty, and all they wanted to see was a couple of pictures. Afterwards they sent me a new cover! I'm very happy, as finding a patio furniture cover that will hold up in storms is very difficult. In this one holds up extremely well. If anyone notices the strange shape of the cover, it is because I take the chairs and face them with the back toward the table in order to allow water to drain off. There are simply boxes on the center of the table under the cover. I use old cases of beer boxes. They're durable, they stack inside one another, and they are free. I never have a water pooling issue. ***2021 November Update: I am reaching out to ULT cover again. I used this cover on my patio furniture for almost a year, uncovering it for the entire summer, June-August 2020. The cover was stored in an indoor patio box out of the sun, folded and dry. I figured this would help the cover last longer. I even rotated the cover to keep one side from getting more sun exposure than the other. Upon reinstalling it, it lasted 1 month before tearing from sun exposure again. I have to add, I was very gentile with the cover, as I want it to last, and also noticed that the fabric in general is flaking and disintegrating from UV exposure. This can be seen, and felt by touching it, where parts of the cover simply rub off onto your hand like dust. I will reach out to ULT Cover to see if they will honor the warranty again, which I HOPE THEY DO because this replacement cover lasted only one year again, and this is the best cover for my patio size and furniture. I uploaded pictures to show the discoloration from the sun, and the new tears in the replacement cover. ULT Cover honored the warranty before so I will update this review if they do again. *****2022 February Update: The cover continues to deteriorate, leaving small flakes everywhere. I submitted the request in Novmber 2021, and they responded quickly, but I did not post the update until now. ULTCOVER did not warranty the cover again. They only will warranty it once. That Said I will probably order a different brand. See their response below: "Dear Customer, I am sorry about this issue. Becasue each customer has only one chance to apply a free replacement within the warranty period. I found we have shipped a replacement to you on Aug 4, 2020. So we can't provide the warranty service anymore. Apologize for any inconvenience. Best Regards, ULTCOVER" I'm not sure what to do at this point. I will have to try another brand. IF ANYONE KNOW OF A DIFFERENT BRAND THAT LAST LONGER THAN 1 YEAR, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!! I AM SEARCHING HIGH AND LOW. I hope this review helps someone. ... show more
