My husband was looking for waterproof shoes for going out on the wet grass to get to the trash cans, etc., and these are certainly waterproof. The only complaint / negative comment he has is that the quality control is below par. The tongues are different - the right one is thicker and wider than the left and when he slips on the shoes, the tongue crumples down on the left shoe. But that's the only complaint he has. When I first put on the Ulogu hiking boots they felt extremely comfortable. But when I started walking I realized they were not suited to my foot. The instep is too high, so the top of the shoe by the toes is too high and presses across my toes when I flex my foot. I like the shoes enough that I was quite disappointed. If your foot has a higher instep so that the shoes fit you right, I can recommend them without question. Since I had ordered them online, I of course didn't know how they were going to fit until I got them. If, based on what I said about the instep, it seems like they might fit you, it's worth giving them a chance. ... show more

I wear with stability arch supports. Enjoy the lightweight. I feel secure with the grip on floors, sidewalks, trail. I do trails less than a mile. So far satisfied for my purposes. This is a bit large for 9.5. I now see the chart that this is for 11" long foot. I like them enough to try the size 9 for 10.75" foot, which is my foot length. I have been wearing them for over a month and am watching to see if they hold form. P.S. the top two lace holes are nice, but how they are supposed to be laced? ... show more

    • The right size feels great. Don't let the label fool you.
The only problem I had was that the Size 9 that I ordered was too tight AND had a label saying Size 8.5. (There is no packaging saying the size, just cellophane with tiny Chinese characters.) The seller tried to be helpful, but it took awhile for me to agree to a Size 9.5. The replacement came quickly and was immediately comfortable, even after walking and wearing them a couple hours the first time. No traction issues on notoriously cracked and tilted sidewalks. I was surprised, though, that this "9.5" had a label saying Size 9. It might make sense to order a half size larger than usual, and ignore the size label. I am going to buy another pair very soon, after walking through enough puddles, 9.5 this time, and it will almost certainly get Five Stars, if their sizing is consistent. ... show more
