The lights come on with sensor reacting to your action under them. They install with strong magnets to hold light, while on the other side it has a strong adhesive to attach to the underside of the cabinet. Then you just have to read how to use the buttons. There hasn’t been a simpler under counter light that I’ve found. They are run by a battery which you recharge with an included USB connector. Simple once again. ... show more

They are awful. Arrived without charging cord. I didn’t notice the cord was missing until I installed them. Company offered to rebate 5.00. I bought a usb-c charging cord but the lights will not charge up. They are useless. Will not buy from this company again.

    • Not quite bright enough....but not bad
I use these for under-cabinet lighting. There are numerous manufacturers making similar design units. I have used 2 other vendors for other adjacent cabinets, and I needed 2 more lights to complete my kitchen area. The highest setting of brightness for these ULG lights is about 80% of the brightness of the other units I already have. On the up side, the ULG has big batteries. Its 2200 mAh is about the largest battery capacity currently available for this type of light. Make sure you don't settle for the smaller 1500 mAh units. The magnets on these ULG units are excellent; glue is sticky, and the magnets are strong. All in all, it is a nice light...just not quite bright enough to match other models of similar build. ... show more

    • Bright light that works well in a closet or pantry.
Our pantry has a couple of these rechargeable lights that come on when we open it, so it is easier to find things. We needed at least one more light to add to the visibility. This set of lights had the functionality I needed and were reasonably priced. The lights are a good length, about 12 inches long and are flat so they don’t stick out anywhere. The 47 LEDs produce a bright light in the 6000k spectrum so provide a lot of light. They do have the ability to turn down the brightness on the light which would be very useful for under the counter lights but doesn’t matter much in a cabinet or closet. Charging the lights uses a standard USB C port so it is easy to charge them with my standard charging cables. Since the lights have a 2200mAh battery they should last a few months in my pantry before they need to be charged. The magnets and sticky metal parts are strong enough to hold the lights with no fear of falling off. Since the magnets attach to the metal pieces you can just grab the lights when they need to be charged and bring them to the charging cable. The lights only have one color spectrum, so it is always a very blue light. They also don’t have a way of setting them, so they come on even if the ambient light is somewhat bright. I’ve seen other lights like this that have either or both of those options. In my case, neither of those options are something I needed for this situation. ... show more
