The compiled reviews highlight a generally positive sentiment towards the phone, praising its massive battery life, efficient performance, and plethora of features that include various meters and camera adapters. However, there are notable criticisms including its incompatibility with some carriers, problematic Bluetooth connectivity, and some durability concerns despite its rugged design.

Pros

  • 🔋 Exceptional battery life, lasting days on a single charge.
  • 💡 Features an array of unique tools like noise, wind meters, and an endoscope adapter.
  • 📸 Good image quality, even in low light conditions.
  • 🏋️‍♂️ Described as heavy but durable with users appreciating its rugged build.

Cons

  • 📡 Issues with carrier compatibility, rendering the phone unusable for some.
  • 🔗 Unreliable Bluetooth connectivity that frequently disconnects.
  • ☀️ Screen struggles in bright sunlight.
  • 💔 Some durability concerns noted, specifically with water resistance failures.

Should I Buy It?

If you are in need of a device with a long battery life, unique features, and aren't overly concerned about carrier compatibility or using your phone in bright outdoor conditions, this phone could be a great value for you. However, if dependable Bluetooth connectivity and uncompromised durability are top priorities, you might want to consider other options.

  • Heavy duty phone but amazing.
I want to start talking about the battery life, I have used the phone for 4 days without charging it and with Bluetooth on (we all know that Bluetooth on uses more battery) giving it an average use, calls, messages, music and some videos, and at the end of the fourth day I still have 30% battery!! it's amazing!! I have the Mint Mobile service that uses the TMobile network, I had no problem activating it, the operating system is very efficient, the phone does not freeze, and with the internal memory of 8 gigabytes, all the applications work very well, they do not get slow . I am not an expert in the matter of the camera but it seems to me that the photos and videos are very clear. This is not an ordinary phone as it has countless functions, FM radio without the need for headphones, distance meter, compass, noise meter, wind meter, endoscope adapter, body camera adapter, you can use the phone to charge another device either wirelessly or wired and several more functions. The price is very good for what you get. The customer service of this seller is incredible, the day I received my phone they were already in contact with me to make sure that my phone had not suffered any damage along the way and to guide me in the activation if I needed it, also when I have had any question I send them an email and they always answer me very kindly and with enough knowledge to answer any questions, this seller is highly recommended. I have just over 2 months with this phone and no failures so far, the phone is heavy but heavy duty, I'm so used to it, if one day I have to change it I'll definitely do it for another Ulefone Rugged Smartphone. ... show more

  • best phone I've ever had
phone is a chonker - it's heavy, but a very solid product, so it's not heavy in a bad way. handling my old phone feels weird now. this phone is really good for developing wrist muscles. wireless charging is great, havent used the wired charger port and do not intend to do so as usb-c ports are weak to strain. camera is pretty good, default resolution is 8000x8000 pixels. satisfied with the purchase. ... show more

  • Use it on Verizon! -- this phone is a good value due to compromised quality but with a giant battery
[edited] Other comments say to use T-Mobile because it is not compatible with Verizon, but THIS IS NOT TRUE. The reason Verizon says it is "not compatible" is that Verizon does not want their stores to have to support this rarely seen Chinese-hardware Russian-Software phone. But it is entirely compatible. Here is how to get it on Verizon. First, bring a compatible phone to Verizon and get it connected. You can even borrow a phone from a friend for this purpose. Then take the new SIM card from that phone and install it into your Ulefone and it will work just fine. Don't forget to put the original SIM back into your friend's phone. Now you have both phones on Verizon. I get very good 4G performance on Verizon. Rest of Review: Yes it has unique features! I've not tested the endoscope function yet, but it looks useful. I've tried the Infrared measurement system - it is an app which turns on a red diode laser, which you can move around the room and get the attention of your pets. Each press of the "measure" button starts a measurement process that takes about 10 seconds; measurements are saved in a list. Another unique feature is that it seems to have provision for a lanyard at the spot where the endoscope attaches, but I am not yet sure of this. This is a HEAVY phone, and if you are not used to carrying a heavy phone, it may be a bit of a shock. Then of course there are some unique failings too, for instance the OS does not allow apps to sense battery drain current. This is likely so that apps cannot measure the actual battery capacity, which I estimate is 10-25% less than advertised. That's not news though -- check the other "giant battery" phones and some or all of them will use the same strategy. And it's not a real issue, because the only thing that counts is actual on-time, and this phone will function from 2 to 7 days depending on the nature of the load. In my case, heavy hotspot with GPS and bluetooth operation is the big load. It is unlikely you will find another phone which can hold up significantly longer on a single charge. Other issues? Well you would assume that since it has a power infrared measurement system, that it would have the "IR Blaster" functions enabled, but for some reason it does not -- and in this case, I don't see why not. Another function I could not get to work was the "tap twice to wake" function, and it seems to be unavailable. Now other functions - display is an abnormally long aspect ratio, wider than the 16:9 standard, but the nice thing is that the end piece of the display can function separately, as you see in a number of other phones like the old LG. This must be enabled in the menus. Camera? The main camera is quite good, and the UHD video looks nice, BUT there is no anti-shake algorithm at all, so if you have shaky hands the video will be hard to watch. The wide angle camera is poor except in daylight conditions. The macro camera produces photos which are not as good as the main camera focused closely, so one wonders why it exists. The selfie cam is likewise subpar. There is a night vision mode, but you need steady hands again to avoid smearing the photo. So to sum up, you have one decent camera, and the rest are of limited usefulness. There is one bright spot - pun intended - the quad LED flash system, which doubles as a flashlight and helps a lot with the low light issues. Another review here said the bluetooth disconnected easily -- I tested mine, and it connects Bluetooth for long durations, but it might have some sensitivity to USB 3.0 devices, so if you are connecting the phone to an auxiliary keyboard or other device, plug the device into a USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0 port. Let's look at the whole picture. This phone is intended as a long lasting phone being used brutally outdoors for long intervals away from power sources, and the features needed for that are not too compromised. Bringing down the price, for the makers of this phone, meant cutting costs in the non-essential features for the intended market, and they did a good job of that, otherwise this would be a phone that cost a couple hundred dollars more. So considering the price and the battery and the ruggedness, it's a good phone. ... show more

  • not compatible with most carriers
Bought as an unlocked phone to use on a Verizon service. Verizon said it wasn't compatible with their service. Attempted to switch to AT&T, again not compatible. Attempted to switch to Spectrum, again not compatible. This phone also has NO back button or tabs button. Was on CL app looking at a vehicle, when trying to swipe away it would just continue to rotate pictures or close the app completely. When reopening the app it would return to the pictures, with no way to get back to the list. Amazon did refund the purchase price. It is big enough & heavy enough to use as a boat anchor (appears to be all it's worth). ... show more

  • phone won't cut out on you. Charges fast
This is my second Ulefone I had a an Armor 7e. Before and one thing I have to say is the sensitivity on this phone was fixed.fingerprint reader is accurate. Not over sentive. . The phone is bigger. Screen size is bigger than my echo and battery life is crazy I charge it for maybe an hour twice a week with heavy use. Buying the phone I had an issue with the carabin for the phone case. I reached out to customer service and they were prompt and as efficient as the phone. I am hoping that down the line software upgrades will bring the expansion sd capabilities to 2tb but since they don't exist. 1 tb for now is enough. Highly recommend if you want a sturdy well built phone that you can use and not always on the charger. Feels like something is in your hand. ... show more
