I wanted a dedicated phone to use with a DJI Osmo Pocket camera rig because I was tired of having to give up use of my phone when doing videos. This phone was on sale on Prime Day so I picked it up for its large screen, good battery size, USB-C port, and Samsung pedigree. Overall for my purposes, I am very impressed with the phone quality. The screen size is great when paired with the Osmo Pocket, it's very clear despite being a lower resolution screen than my Galaxy Note 9. The only draw back to this phone is it feels very lightweight/plasticy so you definitely want a good case for it (but you would want a case for any phone, really). It doesn't feel junky, just less sturdy than my Note 9 (which makes sense since the Note 9 was a flagship and this phone is a budget phone). I have not and don't foresee needing to use the actual mobile service which was included so I cannot comment on that, but this phone works like a wifi tablet when you take the sim card out. Since I am only intending to use this with an Osmo Pocket it doesn't need any connectivity except for updating the DJI software. As a dedicated phone for use with a DJI Osmo Pocket this is pretty much a perfect purchase- responsive with a large screen and good battery size. As just a general use phone I would guess this is a great budget option or starter phone (perhaps as a first phone for a teenager). Included in the box was the Samsung Galaxy A11 phone, a USB-C cable, a charging brick, the pre-installed sim card, a sim removal tool, and the various paperwork items (manuals, warranty info etc). ... show more

I use trackfone for the value, buy 20 minutes get 180 minutes and 90 days for 22 dollars, works about anywhere, phone works great, all I needed was for phone and text this fit the bill, works well, has android 11 and doesn't cost that much. what else do you need. Want to play games, etc. get a tablet or computer. ... show more

Finally, a new phone, not refurbished, that works and does what I want it to do. I had to send the previous Samsung phone back because it was a dud lemon. I believe it was a refurbished product. But I was refunded the money and bought a better model, this Samsung. It's a Tracfone, very inexpensive to operate, with quality features. This phone is great. The first couple days I hated it and almost sent it back. It would randomly shut off me and id have to restart it. Idk, what happened but it stopped doing that and has worked flawlessly from day 2 on. All I did was pop my sim card in and do smart switch and go. Didnt have to call any tech support. ... show more

I received this Tracfone NEW and in package. Took contents out, and followed instructions. Went online @ Tracfone, established an account and purchased a plan as part of ACTIVATION PROCESS. Followed instructions- tried to make a call. Failure. Error message "Not on Mobile Network". Tracfone online account provided no help. Tracfone chat line - nobody answered. Called customer service at the 1 800 line. Went through a menu of 12 items. I choose "technical service". Finally spoke with an agent. 30 minutes into the conversation after turning the phone off and on; off and on. The agent finally stated, "I am transferring you now to another service" - Now I was on hold - for over an hour. No service. Horrible service. Horrible phone ... show more

    • Very Slow and freezes up too much.
It's a nice looking phone. Big screen, not heavy. This phone freezes up to much and very slow to change to different areas. Right now it's writing the wrong letters. Don't care much for this phone.

Some carriers are adding lots of pre-installed apps on the A11, though Tracfone did not and had very little bloatware. USB Type-C A USB Type-C port isn't too common on sub-$200 phones, at least in the United States. THE NOT SO GOOD Design The glossy plastic rear cover is gross. No NFC The Galaxy Nexus from a decade ago had NFC, not having it in any Android smartphone for more than $50 is just ridiculous at this point. Availability The US version of the Galaxy A11 is not unlocked, so you're stuck using carrier models. Design, hardware, what's in the box Samsung's budget phones mostly look the same, and the Galaxy A11 is no exception. The device has a plastic exterior, coated with a glossy finish that easily attracts smudges and dirt. I get that the idea is to emulate the look and feel of glass, but I would have really preferred just a simple matte coating. 2 GB ram memory is low for the phone features thus seems sluggish at times, but if all you need this for is to call text, take some selfies or some photos, watch some Youtube stuff like that, it's more than a decent phone for those tasks.
