The Linea vendor i bought it from is going to help repair some problems with it for a small charge outside the warranty window, so I am happy about that. I have experienced some weird software glitches with this phone as well, so there is room for improvements. To be clear, this phone leaves a lot to be desired if you are trying to replace an S8 Active. I put it through several of my own tests (throwing it around a parking lot), and it did not perform well compared to the S8. The S8 would simply bounce off the concrete without any damage to the screen or casing. -The Armor 11 rapidly sustained case damaged after the second toss, and the screen did not make it through the first. That said, dropping it repeatedly from arm height onto hard ground resulted in no damage at all. Drop proof+ -The water submersion features are hit-and-miss, and with the exception of the speakers/microphone, all the external orifices will need to be plugged before submerging the phone. -No complaints on phone service and 5g data speeds (Tmobile). -Thermal imaging and night vision are really cool. -Big storage, almost unnecessary amount of storage, but nice to have. I take lots of pictures for my job and enjoy some of the larger-size mobile games. -Base Android OS, lots of room for customization. -Screen resolution is nothing special, but unless you demand 4k videos constantly it isn't at all unsatisfying. And if you are a social media bug needing the highest recording /output quality you are looking at the wrong phone anyways. -48MP main camera is nice, but lacks several auto-focusing features. For me this makes taking up-close photos of components and written details a bit tedious as I have to focus the camera manually to ensure clear photos. -The thing is bloody heavy and quite large, I recommend a belt-case or keeping in a workbag if cargo pants are not an option. It is quite uncomfortable in regular pockets. -Radio functions very well, just keep in mind it is a radio and will lose reception at times. -Compass function is unreliable, you'll want a different app. Level app is great. Other Toolbag apps function pretty well. They no substitute for the actual tools they aim to replace, but will work fine in a pinch. -Biometric security options function very well out-of-the-box, fingerprint will lose accuracy over time. -Battery is huge, but I wish it performed like a huge battery. It lasts all day with heavy use, but will need a battery pack for prolonged / multiday use. TLDR Pros: sturdy, good reception and data speed, high storage, decent hardware. I switched from a Galaxy J3 Orbit ($50) to the Ulefone 7e. I will be returning the Ulefone. The phone isn't all bad but close. There a a few good qualities but for me they don't outweigh the cons. For starters this thing is bulky without a case, with the case it is 13/16" thick x 3 1/2" wide x 6 3/4" tall. Basically a 7" piece of 1x4 in your pocket and it weighs a couple pounds. I attempted jogging with it in my pocket and it was like getting punched in the nuts repeatedly. I like to work out and would have to hold the phone on a run to listen to music. It isn't truly unlocked. I have Straight Talk and had to use the TMobile sim because Verizon and AT&T wouldn't work and after, no exaggerating, 3+ hrs on the phone with customer service to figure it out. Where I live TMobile has crappy service, can't run a job efficiently without phone service. Old phone used Verizon card and always had service. The phone's speaker when used for alarm or media is very loud usually, sometimes it becomes barely audible and you have to restart the phone. The call volume is really low even on speaker phone.Whilebon speaker phone if the a/c in my house kicks on I have to have the phone beside my head to hear it. Handset call volume is so low any background noise and you can't hear the other person, a/c off and windows up in the car and it is still hard to hear the call. Very frustrating. Terrible keyboard. No notifications volume. The alarm sends a loud beep 15min before it goes off to notify you that there is an upcoming alarm and you can't stop it. My phone is my alarm clock so being woken up to let you know you could be sleeping another 15 min is not cool. The flash/flashlight is one bright led and 4 dim ones so I don't understand why the have the other 4 but it's brighter than any other phone light I've seen. The fingerprint scanner is in a terrible spot, if you turn it on you will constantly be hitting it. The custom button is opposite the fingerprint scanner in an equally inconvenient spot. The proximity/light sensor is on the top of the phone so it doesn't register that it is up to your head unless you point the top of the phone at your head so your ear is doing random stuff in your phone while you're making a phone call. It turned airplane mode on and dropped an important call a couple days ago. It's heavy enough that it is uncomfortable to hold with one hand and read for more than a short time and I have large hands. The battery lasts a long time, 2 days while streaming Pandora over my Bluetooth and I was at 28 percent. I just realized the keyboard doesn't have a percentage symbol. I don't need to go days without charging my phone so the extra bulk and weight is unnecessary. Contact with moisture including sweat voids the warranty (see picture). It loads websites very slowly. My J3 Orbit loads large pages faster than the Ulefone. Really aside from the camera and screen the J3 out performs the Ulefone. I don't understand all the positive reviews, something seems fishy. The screen is nice and the camera is ok but not near what it's hyped up to. The 3finger upswipe screenshot is convenient, it charges fast and comes with an adapter for about anything you would want to plug into it. Without the case it looks really cool and tough, too bad dropping it voids the warranty. Those are most of the major problems I have with this phone. There are minor quarks I don't like but that's going to be any phone. I really wanted to like this phone and was excited about getting it which is probably why I am a little in my feelings about this phone being a turd. I hope this review was helpful. ... show more
