I like how it is built. Seems very solid and easy to use. I would like the seat to be a little larger but it definitely allows you to rest your legs the way it is. I have used tree seats that are a mix of metal and plastic. This is a nice improvement being aluminum if the seat was just 2” larger.

This appears to be very strong and functions easily. It has adjustment bolts that can fit the stand to a tree that isn't quite straight. Seems simple enough to put up. Can't wait to try it.

This has an OK price for a cast aluminum platform, and it looks like it will do the job. I hung it on the tree and it's stable. Because it's aluminum, it's light, and because it's cast, there are no joints to squeak. I'll have to paint it green or brown to tone it down a little, and I'm surprised it was pre-painted, hence the 4-star instead of 5. ... show more

Very nice stand for saddle hunting that reminds me of a Lone Wolf treestand I have had forever and still use every year. Solid construction, easy hanging and QUIET - that is the most important part. Definitely not a stand if you want to stand on it all day as it is small, just a place to rest your feet and give you leverage to twist around wearing a Saddle harness (harness not included - just the stand) ... show more

I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised when I took it out of the box. This is a good, no frills saddle hunting platform. Nothing fancy, but very functional. It's not as light weight as some of the big names, nor is it as good looking, but it seems to do everything it's designed to do. It holds my ~200 lbs solidly, without creaking or sliding. One bothersome thing is that the plastic caps at each end of the aluminum upright pop off with little effort. I’ll be securing those with glue or silicone before using. The included strap works OK, but the release tab on the tension clamp broke off as I was testing it. I’ll be replacing the straps with dyneema line before actually using the platform. I ended up getting two of these so I can have them staged in a couple different spots. They'll get a workout this fall and I'll update this review if needed once I use them in the field for a while. Update: The seller contacted me and pointed out that the buckle may have broken due to the strap not being properly threaded through the bottom/underneath the buckle. As it turns out, that was how mine was threaded. I figured this out on my own after the fact, but it was nice for them to check in with me and point this out. ... show more

got this tree saddle platform for my saddle system I use for hunting and man was I impressed with the overall quality and craftsmanship of its platform it anchors to the tree very securely also I used a ratchet strap because I do not intend to move this one or the other three have gotten with this one I wanted to have spares so I can bounce from tree to tree if I want or need to so if I know I'm going to one of these trees I can leave my main platform in the truck and take my climbing sticks with me reducing the weight I have to pack in even more ... show more

    • Solid value, very minor flaws

The media could not be loaded. I think this is a very nice platform for the price. It is on the very low end of the spectrum for midrange platforms like this. Go much cheaper, and you'll end up with a very clunky platform. You can triple the price and end up with space-age materials that feel weightless. For the price it's at, I think it's a great deal. It has all the features you want in a platform. It is pretty light, it bites into the tree hard, it feels rock solid, it uses soft loops and a button (rather than a ratchet strap, which I've seen on slightly cheaper platforms), and the size and shape are perfect. I'm not crazy about the plastic cap on the button (or whatever it's called, the part that you attach the loops too). I've seen that exact one on a set of sticks, and part of it snapped off. This is not a load bearing piece, but it helps keep the strap seated against the load-bearing pin. Also, I think it's a bit bright and shiny for a hunting platform, so I will be painting it a dark color. But again, for the price, it really does deliver. It allows you to attach it to the tree easily and without having to cinch it down hard. You then open the platform up and it pries itself away from the tree, tightening the strap and gripping hard. It does not move at all, even when applying my weight to the edges. No noise, no motion (see my video). This is a good buy, with just a couple of minor flaws. As another reviewer noted, the strap comes threaded all wrong. Not a big deal, as long as you are aware of this and set it up correctly before using it. I just find it surprising they all come like that. ... show more

Lightweight and durable. Mounts solid to the tree and Is very sturdy. The weight makes it easy to mount and get into the tree. Great value and one of the best I’ve ever used. Makes saddle hunting easier.
