  • TRUE RMS: This industrial clamp meter features True RMS providing accurate measurements on any type of load.
  • ENHANCED SAFETY: The DL389B provides increased safety with a CAT IV 300V & CAT III 600V safety rating. This clamp meter includes Non-Contact Voltage to identify live lines. There are input jack locks to protect your meter from blowing a fuse.
  • GREAT DESIGN: Our clamp meter includes and easy to read backlit dual display with a magnetic mount for handsfree operation. The unit also has a work light to illuminate dark areas and test lead storage for easy transport. Other features include Auto/Manual Ranging Modes, Min/Max, auto power off to conserve battery, and a Low Battery Indicator.

DL369 looks very similar with most of the same features, but no backlight, temperature, magnet, or True RMS. DL379 Temperature DL379B Temperature, two indicator LED lights, and a backlight DL389B True RMS plus all of the above. The aligator clips on the test leads are not as nice as Fluke and they bend too easily. But, I bought this on the recommendation of a neighbor who does HVAC work everyday and likes this UEI better than his Fluke meters. ... show more

    • My main go to meter
I have used fieldpiece, fluke, Klein, different models from UEI. I find the 389B the easiest to use, just as accurate, and definitely good value. This is my main meter. I have used Fieldpiece Hs36,amps was always off by a couple units. I liked my fluke 117 just didn’t have incorporated amp clamp. I had a klein, good meter just too many buttons to push to get mfd. I have the DL 479, good meter but again too many buttons to push. The 389B is truRMS and simple to use in one unit. I would buy again. ... show more

Mostly like the auto range detect, and continuity tone. Voltage detector can come in handy as well. There are youtube videos out there that do a good job of going through the features and use. Just wish there was a way to test capacitors 'in-circuit', but I don't think most meters can do that anyway. ... show more
