I had a neck injury and wasn’t allowed to swim at one point. So, I made a deal with the docs and started using a mask and snorkel for my lap swims so I wasn’t twisting my neck. Now, I always use a mask and snorkel for lap swims. Over time my gear has aged, so I picked this up for next season’s swimming. The mask has a very flexible silicone seal, I’ve tested it out of the pool and it holds well! The snorkel has a clip to attach it to the headband of the mask so it doesn’t get separated and you can swim without it wandering off. I like the adjustment system on the mask fit – there are two side buttons you push in at the strap to allow the headgear to lengthen or shorten. The snorkel has the inhalation block so water can’t get down it when I do flips at the end of my lap and the mouthguard is a soft silicone sort of thing, so you don’t have to have different size inserts. I also use the fins for my swim workout to exercise different muscle groups. These were small to medium and are quite adjustable.     • Pretty good beginner snorkel set
I ordered this for my son who will be joining me on a caribbean cruise. He and I each purchased specialized masks for a prior trip and mine, which is a prescription one, is still fine, but his leaked terribly. He needed a new set to take in the event the company that we booked our snorkel trip through didn't have one he liked and this set will work great as a back up. I like the flippers and will use them for sure, but my feet are smaller than his. He didn't care for the fit on them. The snorkel is very similar to the high end one I got with my prescription mask. I think this is a great beginner snorkel set for a teen or adult and recommend it. ... show more

    • Perfect Set for Family or Occasional Use!
As we were heading to Mexico for vacation, I wanted to find an affordable snorkel set that would be easy to pack and take along on our trip. Glad I found this set. This set includes the mask, snorkel, fins, and mesh bag. It was the perfect solution for our needs as it comes with everything needed. I was pleased to find out that the snorkeling set worked well for me as an adult, and my 11-year-old son also found it comfortable and easy to use. The set is a perfect fit for both of us. The fins are easy to put on and take off, which is excellent for beginners. The snorkel tube worked well even when it was submerged, providing an enhanced snorkeling experience. I love that this set comes with a mesh bag, making it portable and easy to carry. (Remember to rinse your equipment after being in the saltwater!) One thing to note is that this is an excellent set for occasional use, if it's a rarer activity the set is an excellent choice offering a good value for the money. If you want to do snorkeling consistently, look for a higher-end set of equipment.     • Lightweight, easy to get on/off, great set for anyone who snorkels occasionally
My kids and I are heading out on a week-long trip during which we will likely snorkel daily - I was hoping to find snorkel sets so that we wouldn't need to rent equipment for all three of us for the full week. This is definitely not the same caliber as rental equipment, but it does include everything we'll need (mask, snorkel, fins, and mesh bag) and seems to be relatively well-made. A few notes: I tested this set on my 11-year-old (who will be using it on our trip) in a swimming pool setting. The mask did fog up quite a bit, but it did stay securely on her face. (I tried it on myself as well, and it fit a full-sized adult face just fine, too). The flippers go on and off super easily, and because they are on the short side, they don't propel her super fast, but they totally do work. The snorkel tube also worked well - she was even able to go completely underwater without drowning herself. It's also super lightweight - she said that she didn't feel nearly as weighed down by the mask or flippers as she did the last time she snorkeled with rental equipment. Although I will probably still rent equipment for myself for our upcoming trip, after playing in the pool with my daughter using this set, I feel totally comfortable letting her use it for our upcoming trip. ... show more

    • Nice, but....
Over all, it's a really nice set. What you need to know is that comparatively, the mask is small and the fins (foot) are very large. Not all faces and feet are respectively sized the same, but order for the fins if that's what your concerned about or order for the face mask if that's your priority. For reference, I wear about a size 7 1/2 women's shoe, and my face is small to the point where I've been known to get children's glasses. There are inches of room at the toe after I adjust the heel strap on the fins, but it is snug enough that I'm not flapping around or out of it. The mouthpiece for the snorkel is comfortable. For the most part, the face mask fits really well; if you're like me and have very deep definitive crease is and lines when you make any kind of expression... It is not a tight fit. This is not indicative of it being a bad product, more my bad face. But is worth noting, in case you're like me and looking for one that will accommodate your expressionate personality. ... show more

How often do you snorkel? Is it 1-3x per year. This is probably a great set for you. The price point of under $37 feels very reasonable and accessible to make snorkeling a reality for most. I did find that the mask has a solid seal but isn't the most comfortable around the nose. However, I imagine that if you are snorkeling for an hour or less is would be fine. The mask feels as though it would fit best on a small to medium face. The fins on the other hand feel as though they are more of a medium to large fit. Personally I think I will be able to use this set with ease but my husband probably not so much. I would recommend this set for those who are recreational snorkelers. ... show more
