Seems like most people installed this on the passenger side. I installed mine on driver side. Just seemed easier than trying to have enough clearance on my TJ. the tailgate hinges seem like they would be in the way, had i mounted this on passenger side. Anyway... great mount for my firestick 4' antenna, on my TJ wrangler. Great fit and very sturdy. Make sure you drill the hole and use the extra screw mount for added stability. ... show more

Used on a 2003 Jeep TJ. Good fit with no issues mounting the bracket. The hole is setup for a CB antenna base and was not a great fit for the amateur radio antenna application. I had to add a stainless steel washer to help add a little more surface area to the fit but all in all it appears to be a good solution to our antenna placement on the Jeep with an approximately 35" dual band (2m/70cm) antenna. ... show more
