Installed in my '21 Tacoma OR. Installation took maybe 10 minutes, fits perfect. Does the job of storing/locking firearm while at work. Better than locking in the plastic glove box. Metal box but I wouldn't trust leaving valuables overnight or long period just temporarily. It isn't a super sturdy steel construction. Use alongside Ring Auto, the Club to keep my truck safe.     • Good except 1 issue
An affordable deterrent for criminals quickly checking center consoles. The issue is the round opening in the back for the USB plugs located inside the console. It isn't large enough so I had to cut the opening a bit larger. I bought the correct model for my vehicle/year so I'm not sure why the issue. Without cutting the hole larger at the bottom, the USB plug keeps the safe from fully dropping into the console so you can't bolt it or shut the console. 2018 Tacoma TRD sport You absolutely get what you pay for. I bought this knowing what I was getting into. It’s garbage The packaging arrived in a box that was modified to fit the vault. See pictures for this janky packaging. The vault itself is very cheap. The manufacturer didn’t smooth out the cuts leaving jagged edges. The latch attached to the lock was rusted and painted over. Oxidation is not fixed with paint. See pictures. The lock is nothing more than a mailbox lock. I replaced the one that came with it. The screw that holds the locking latch only goes in about 2-3 threads. This is in fact what’s stopping somebody from breaking in…2-3 threads. See pictures The holes do not align with the truck. I had to take a drill and make a new hole half an inch up and file it down. The box as mentioned before me does not have a spot to hold a power cord once closed. Easy fix with a drill. For the money, this box is a project for anybody wanting to make their own. I would not trust this to protect anything to include air. Modifications must be made to make it reliable to the standards you are assuming you’ll get when you buy it. I do not and will never recommend this to anybody ... show more

This fit the center console well but you will need to cut out/enlarge the opening for the charger connectors. It took ten minutes with a Dremel tool and cutter to solve the fitment problem. The most positive feature was that it did not have a lip that prevented the center console from closing shut like the others. Overall, I am happy with the purchase. ... show more

Safe fits in the 23 Tacoma Offroad. Just slides into center console, holes lined up with the usb and type c port. Unfortunately the safe does not come with a rubber mat to put at the bottom so anything you put in there will either scratch the safe or your item. Overall, a good buy.

I just couldn't warm up to big bucks for a safe, so I tried this one. Single-walled, basic lock. I wanted a key rather than combination - it seemed like ti would be awkward to twist my body enough to view the combo lock, put on my reading glasses and manipulate the dials. The tolerances of this safe are pretty good - it would be tough to get a screwdriver or pry bar between the door and the body. I saw from other reviews that the USB ports might be partially covered, so I expected that. I used a grinder to open the hole a little, and after that the install was easy.
