I have used roughly 10 needles and each time they were painful. I dismissed the reviews that were saying they were painful, but it's true. It shouldn't be painful at all since they are 31 gauge. After pulling the needle out of my skin I noticed the needles were bent. Not only that, but that would explain why I can bruising at the injection spot.
