  • Hard Sided Case for Hard Use!
Style: Pre-cut foam - Type 6700 Color: Black Size: 610x430x265 (type 6700)
Purchased this case as an alternative to the "Carry-on" Pelican case. I travel more than humanly necessary. I Needed something tuff, waterproof, and critter resistant. Very pleased. NOTE OF CAUTION - this may or may not fit in the overhead bins of certain aircraft. I use it strictly on larger "wide body" planes. Check your online apps for aircraft types! Size-wise its about the size of one of those plastic hard shell stand up suitcases with the four wheels. Internally its cavernous. No pockets, no zippers, no carry handle bars. Just a big open spot to stuff full of, well... Your stuff. The drag wagon handle is almost identical to the Pelican type. The lid is detachable with some effort. Overall its basically a big plastic box with wheels. It does this well. I use eBags packing cubes to organize clothes in this. Four Medium cubes fit perfectly in this case with room to spare. I use smaller bags to organize toiletries, medicine, belts, and miscellaneous stuff. The wheels are knurled travel type wheels for traction, and they can be removed / replaced using a six point "star type" key wrench. In fact, everything on this bag uses that type of fastener making it easier to replace/Macgyver anything that may malfunction. I purchased the one that comes with the cut and pluck foam. Haven't needed to use any of it yet. The one drawback I have found is that the holes for luggage locks ARE NOT the standard size you might be used to on plastic cases - the holes on this bag are sized for SMALL locks. This is the one thing I would change about this bag! Overall I give this box a 5 out of 5. I'll update after a few months of hard use. ... show more

  • Really good product and it held my helmet if I needed ...
Style: Empty Color: Black Size: 495x365x315 (type 5500)
I drove it as my trunk with a BRE plate on my KLR 650. Hundreds of miles with tools and water and clothes and it was waterproof in rain. And stream Crossings. Really good product and it held my helmet if I needed to lock it up. BRE recommended it and so do I.
