Until this point I hadn’t put any kind of heating tool to my hair in over 2 years. I haven’t straightened my hair in almost 3 years. I had some previous heat damage and I wanted to take a break from it. I wanted my hair straight again and I was looking for something that would save me time (I have thick, long wavy/curly hair. Look at first pic)) so in the past it would have taken me a good hour and a half to get my hair straight. I’m a mom of a preschool age child and a newborn, so I wanted something that could save me time. I also wanted something that would control my frizz. Well, I came upon this and I’m so glad I did! One major plus is that If one of my kids happens to touch it while on (that most likely won’t happen because I won’t let it lol) it won’t cause burns like a traditional flat iron would because of the way its designed! The first and only time I have used this so far was when I was in a rush and I decided it was a perfect situation to see what kind of time I can save with this heating brush. I spent about 20 minutes on my hair and that is what you see in the picture. I also had minimal fizz. I am OBSESSED. I have super thick hair, so thick that hairstylists comment on how thick it is EVERY time I go to the salon. I have to get my hair thinned periodically just to stay manageable, even when I cut it short. My hair is naturally wavy, so of course my favorite way to wear my hair is straight. However I rarely straighten it because even with a high quality straightener, it takes me forever to do. I saw this and thought it seemed to good to be true, but I got it and was willing to try. I straightened my hair (no joke) in less than 15 minutes which has NEVER happened. Like others mention, this isn't going to get your hair pin-straight unless you either A) follow up with a few passes with a straightener B) brush through using the straightening brush multiple times. Still - I have thick hair that often looks poofy and somewhat frizzy. I sprayed with heat protectant and in the time it took me to catch up on emails, I have tamed, smooth, straighter hair that I can either leave as-is or style way easier. The only thing I will say is I recommend cleaning hair out as you go because the strands start to burn which smells awful and dirties up the brush. This worked, but took a lot more effort than some of the reviews claimed. I have curly, sometimes crazy hair and it was not as simple as just running it through two times. However, with a little bit of effort it did get the job done. It takes some work and some product in your hair but in the end it did work ... show more

I’ve had lots of brush straighteners, but this one is hands down the best one I’ve used. It runs through my hair like butter, it doesn’t get caught up and snagged like others I’ve used. It smoothed my hair way better than any other I’ve used. I am recovering from postpartum hair loss, so I’ve got little baby hairs growing in that are shorter than the rest, so there is some level of “frizz” appearance that can’t be helped, but this brush has done the best job taming them so far. I lost much less hair in the process of using this brush. I’m kicking myself for not getting it sooner! Didn’t realize so much was coming o it during styling related to my straightening brush alone! ... show more

This straightener is absolutely amazing and to be honest when I used it, I’m a curly girl, so I hadn’t straighten my hair for a while, so I was concerned that I would be doing the same damage as if I use a regular hair straightener has two iron plates. However, that was not the case and I was able to get a sleek look which to me was insane because I’m at 3b to 4C hair texture which basically means very very curly hair at the curliest of all. OK, so I have at least 15 different devices to style my curly hair ... From Revlon brush, to Dyson imitation, to different irons.. I think I have 8... One of which is good, but nothing compares with this device.... It is absolutely fenomenal.. in literally 10 minutes transformers my dried freeze hair mass into slick salon style hair. Thank you! And thanks to myself for endlessly reading reviews and finally making decision to try the 30th product at least! IT DOES WORK! And very important, it is not hot to touch while styling hair... I was looking for a hair dryer brush. When I did my search, this straightener appeared. I clearly didn't read through well enough & was disappointed when I received a straightener vs a blow dryer. I like this hot tool/electric dual voltage straightener, it does a great job. I am a retired licensed hair dresser. I love anything that does the job and shortens the time/energy to get my long hair straight, styled the way I like it. Obviously you always WAIT on your hair to dry naturally or dry it gently. I use the lowest temperature possible and heat protecting creams in my hair. Tools can get really hot, and I do not want my hair damaged at all, so the lowest you can use and the less strokes the better. This does the job with 1 or a couple swipes. So far so good and plan on taking it on an international trip, alto it is a bit heavy for that. ... show more
