First, know going in these are NOT rock sliders. They bolt to the body, not the frame. They are however, extremely well made and heavy duty side step/nerf bars that could probably take a pretty good smack before causing damage to your vehicle. They provide an excellent step for roof access, or for people to get into and out of your truck. Also they appear due to their profile and height to provide excellent door ding protection from morons. If your use case puts your truck on trails where you'll risk hitting rocks with your rocker panels, get sliders, period. If your use case is looking for a heavy duty step, door ding protection, protecting your vehicle from rocks & debris thrown up from your tires, and want a slider look, then look no further as I doubt you'll find a better product. I'm off road on forest service and blm dirt and gravel roads all the time. I don't rock crawl or extreme 4x4 in my daily driver. These fit my use case. Packaging was incredibly careful. Heavy cardboard box, bubble wrap, styrofoam blocks, end cap protection and mounting bracket protection. Hardware was in its own box and bags. Instructions were clear. These bolted right up to my 2023 Tacoma TRD OR with zero fitment issues. Pro tip, the box is the perfect height to use as a jack stand to hold each bar in place easily to get the first bolt loosely started. Start with the middle outboard bolt. Continue with the other 5 so they are all loosely started. Once on the truck push the bars inboard all the way and check alignment. Snug middle outboard bolt to lock in place. Finish snugging the remaining bolts. Torque to included spec with torque wrench. I also used blue locktight on the threads. Total time from starting unpackaging to taking photo was less than an hour, totally taking my time. Would buy again. My ONLY gripe is the name and stars cutout on the step fill plates. I think it looks cheap and stupid. Going to cover those areas with 4" wide skateboard tape from Lowe's. They really aren't that noticeable when mounted on the truck, but I'm covering them anyways. ... show more

I like this product a lot. I didn’t know what to expect, the reviews had me hopeful though. It came in today and I just finished piecing it all together and it was such a breeze! Tyger Star Armor bars look and feel very sturdy. They're a little better than hollow tubular nerf bars, but not quite as hardcore (and challenging to install) as true rock sliders. Tyger bars use the pre-drilled factory step-bar holes in the floorplan of your truck. My bars arrived packaged well with a lot of packing material to properly cushion and protect. I did the install myself using the the foam blocks and other packing materials to support the bar, although you'd probably find this is easier and safer if you have someone holding the bar for you. Driver side went up and bolted on within 20 minutes, no problem. Passenger side was a different story. First, I noted a small rust stain (which I wiped off) near one of the welds. I saw another review stating these rusted, but I live in AZ and don't expect rust to be a problem here. I'll keep an eye on the weld. The passenger side bar was off by a millimetre or so and I had a hard time getting it bolted in place. First, I had all but one of the forward bolts loosely secured. I thought it just needed adjustment, so I loosened and eventually removed all the bolts and redid it. Second try I ended up with the two middle bolt holes slightly misaligned. By now the cheap bolts that came with the bars seemed to be stripping. I went to the hardware store and replaced with better bolts. I was able to get one of the middle bolts to thread and secure correctly by pushing the metal fitting on the bar into place using all my strength. The other hole was now more misaligned and I threw in the towel. It's secure with five out of six bolts, but I do wish this lined up to factory specs better, or had a little more adjustment to it. If you are comfortable shaving off some metal off the bar, or bending it a bit, this may not have been an issue for you. Hopefully if you buy these, you don't encounter this same issue. Other than what I mentioned above, these are theoretically easy to install. They do look great on the truck, and provide a nice side step plus some protection from door dings. ... show more

TYGER RIDER Running Boards for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma Easy Install. Looks Awesome for the price. Easy to install. Nicely color coded the bags they come in left and right sides making that part easy. just lay out the mounting hardware and bolts should take 15 minutes or less per side. screw in the bolts halfway to all mounts and running board. if the bolt holes don't line up you need to switch the mounts around till, they do. both front mounts are unique to the set, so you only really need to figure out the other 2 mounts per side. they are sturdy and well-built just got them into the mail yesterday and installed them yesterday, will comment in about a year if problems arise, but I don't see that since there so well built. For the price and look it gives the truck A+ How it's made, I give them 5 stars. How easy it was to mount 5 Stars. Value for the price 10 Stars so much cheaper than the others and just as nice why pay more. ... show more

These Landerx boards fit nicely on my 21 Tacoma TRD Sport. Install was easy took about an hour. Quality of boards and hardware is pretty good. These are a lot cheaper then the predator ones from the Toyota dealership and the style is about the same. Highly recommend these boards for 200 bucks.
