This is way better than using the long strap the JBL Extreme 2 came with to move your unit from room to room, house to garage, etc. Plus you don't have to keep moving the flopped over long strap out of the way if the surface it sits on starts getting cluttered. Clasps seem strong enough and should last for the life of the handle, which I'm guessing will be the life of the speaker. I like that the handle has some 'beef' to it. Feels good in the hand. I have a hard case to store my speaker in when not in use, and though I have to take it off to get it in the case, it is small enough to slip in the side compartment along with the charging unit. Purchased for a work radio for my 12 hour shift at work. I love the sound and that its light weight. I only docked it a star because it does not last 15 hrs on battery life it lasts about 9 or 10hrs for me. I'm not that upset about it cause I can just charge it while playing music still.

If you want a Stong, Sturdy, and very comfortable strap, THIS IS IT. This is the most perfect strap for these speakers. Perfect length with no buckles for adjusting in the way. I am using it on a JBL Charge 5 that has a silicone protector wrap/case on it, and this strap just hooks right onto the case. Perfect strap and great cost. The music comes out great. Went with the previous years model and felt we did not lose anything. We gained (have) more money in our pocket because we bought this one instead of the currently model. We saved around $125 minimum and did not compromise on volume or quality. Enjoy this when we go riding in our dune buggy since we did not want to install a sound system in it and affect he body of the machine. WORKS GREAT!!! When I ordered this I thought it was for a mini speaker not a strap, The page talks about the specs for the speaker which I feel is totally deceptive advertising.
