Some of the product leaked out the jar making the outside of the jar messy & sticky when it arrived. Coincidentally, I once received a Twisted Sista shampoo from Cocotique and half of it had leaked out of the bottle when it arrived. I wonder if the company's packaging is just inadequate for shipping. I tried this gel for the price and because I love their shampoo. This gel was okay, but it was nearly liquid in texture. I’m 43 and my daughter is 16. She inherited my curly hair but my hair has sort of gone limp and can’t make up its mind whether it wants to be curly or straight but it still holds on to the frizz. I’ve tried several hair products including biolage and while some of them worked ok, twisted sista has been thee best. It brings back some of the curl to my undecided head of hair, holds well all day, and just looks great overall. I am a caucasian woman with dark curly hair. I don't dry my hair and prefer fast and easy. I have spent a TON of money in the past looking for a good curly hair gel, cream, mousse, oil, whatever the consistency. I found my favorite here. This is a 5 star product in my opinion. I apply it, spray some coconut curl light hairspray over it and call it good! It drys naturally and provides perfect, no frizz curls.     • Packaging seems wrong
The product works well on my very curly hair. The smell isn't great, but its tolerable. But the packaging doesn't seem like the right choice for the product. The gel is a super watery, slimy consistency, so you're basically dipping your fingers repeatedly into this slime. I think it would be better in a bottle where you could squeeze it out onto your hands. I'd give it 4+ stars if it was easier to apply. ... show more
