The mattress is a hybrid made of cooling gel & memory foam that has a pressure relief effect with coil spring pockets & it is also CertiPUR-US certified & made free of fiberglass materials. The mattress arrives rolled in a box so just simply open the box, let it fold out on its own, wait a few hours & it will go back to its regular rectangular bed shape & then set it on-top of a XL twin size bed frame or platform. It took a full 3 days for this mattress to fluff out. Once it finally did I was left feeling very satisfied with it! It is definitely an XL TWIN. I have to admit that was the one thing I was most concerned about, the length is not something that you want to be short changed on especially if you are purchasing it for someone tall. The mattress is medium firm and extremely comfortable. It provides an excellent night of rest. I really don’t have complaints. I used this twin mattress in a daybed. It was easy to set up once taken out the box and allowed to reach it's full height. Very well made with no offensive odor. I found the mattress comfortable to sit on and rest upon. Plenty of support for me. Great value and nice appearance.

This is a great mattress for kids or for situations where you need a thinner than average mattress. We have it as the mattress on the trundle bed in our kids’ room. It works perfectly for that purpose. Softer than I prefer, but great for the price.

I allowed this mattress to fully rebound for 72 hours before I laid upon it or placed any linens in it. The mattress itself is on the softer side of most medium firms that I’ve been accustomed to as I don’t completely enjoy fully sinking into a mattress as I’m a habitual side sleeper. I’m looking forward to its full prospective comfort as I know it can take anywhere from 30-120 days to fully break in a mattress. It doesn’t foster any strange smells which is much appreciated as my nose can be quite sensitive. The bed itself foster some good rest and I look forward to the rest becoming better as the bed contours to my body.
