I did not realize it came with more than two plug ins which is nice but not necessary for me. Who would think there is a plug like this that perfectly works where you need electricity here and there but only one plug in between!? It is absolutely perfect for behind a bed to provide for lamps on nightstands on either side, and that same function can work wherever you need it, like for end table lamps beside a sofa! It's a bonus that the plug is flat so it doesn't stick out, and it works perfectly. We used this to connect two lamps to the switched plug behind the bed. Previously one was on an extension cord and the other was not leading to inconsistent dimming of the LED bulbs. Since this is all one unit with equal wire length on each side the two lamps now dim evenly.
