I am just learning to tint with zero experience. I started with the Black Magic tint you can get from wal-mart. I was so frustrated with the black magic brand. I had never used a better brand. This Tview tint may or may not be what the professionals use, but boy oh boy it’s a million times better than what I had. It’s thicker for starters. Which means it’s not floppy which can cause creases. The thinner tint was also more prone to tears when trying to cut it. This one is much better. It’s also a nice dark shade of black. Some of the other brands complain of a red or purple hue - this one is black. I also bought a tinting kit with different squeegees and whatnot - it was worth the $20. I am very happy with this and it had made tinting so much easier for me. ... show more

Decided to give this film a shot based off of other reviews. Professional shops or experienced tinters, beware. Film does not stretch, work well, or form to any curved surface. Would work fine for windows in a home or office building. Not useful for automotive applications in my opinion.

Yeah, there is better tint out there but its going to cost three times as much. This is the best of the less expensive tint out there. I used it to tint an entire yacht. I cannot talk to how it shrinks, all my glass was flat. Had a couple pieces wrinkle and a few small rips, just be carefull with it folding and creasing and it will be fine. ... show more

    • It's a very dark tint, anything but a sunny day you can't see through it very well.
We bought this tint to put in some of our heavy equipment to help with the heat. It turned out to be a bit too dark for our use. Also, when we opened the box, the tint roll had slid off its tube, and because of that, the tint was damaged about 3 or 4 inches from the edge. We couldn't use that at all because it was crinkled. Good finish product but shrinking was a little difficult even with 14 years experience it wasn’t the best I’ve used but it got the job done.
