  • Happy to be reunited with my old signature...why did I wait so long?
Just recently purchased this fragrance from Amazon. I see folks here and on different forums comparing this formulation to vintage. I wore this scent in the 90s and if there is a difference between that and this one (batch code says mine is from August 2017) the difference is slight and not worth concerning yourself over. This is still so smooth and “ole skool” masculine that it would be a shame not to own it, even as part of a collection! On my skin it lasts long although it doesn’t seem to take over a room, but then it never did in the old days either. Great smell on fabric, too. For the uninitiated, what I get is the bracing aromatics of Original Aramis, blended with the spices of Halston Z-14, the tobacco of Original Polo and believe it or not, the castoreum leather note of the fabled Chanel Antaeus! If it’s been a while gents, pull the trigger on this classic. Young men, what’s it gonna hurt? For thirty bucks you’re going to definitely have them all wondering what you’re wearing. Thanks Aramis/Estee Lauder for keeping this one alive and kicking! ... show more

  • TUSCANY IN NAME ONLY
I have been using this particular scent since the 80's... and buying from Amazon in the past. Always pleased with the purchase. This WAS my favorite scent. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK...this is not good quality scent, and is reminiscent of insecticide on first spray. Any residual scent is slight or nonexistent. Amazon has been great and will remain at the top of my list of suppliers. This product has been removed. ... show more

  • As extinct as the dinosaurs
I received a bottle as a gift back in the 80s. I dont recall ever using it without getting complimented. It was the perfect mens fragrance. It appears the recipe has changed as well as the color. Its a bit to citrusy and it doesnt last very long. Its still an ok smelling cologne at best but it maybe a little less than middle of the pack. You can do so much better for your money. I would gladly pay more than what i paid for the old scent. The new scent is overprice by 70% at least. Why would anyone change a product that was loved by so many. I maybe the wrong person for this product. If i was from Tuscany, i would make them change the name of the cologne. It doesnt represent a beautiful place, where the people who live there strive for excellence in quality of products produce there. When your buying a product there should a warning that this product has changed and not made as it was originally. Especially on a non returnable item. This product sells for over $100 and that money should have been used on something that can be considered a.neccesity. ... show more

  • What a gentleman should smell like
Thank goodness Aramis brought this fragrance back. Thank goodness again that they did not reformulate it to satisfy "modern" tastes in perfume. Tuscany is somewhat old school, but done in a rich and sophisticated fashion and without the bombastic elements that caused people to turn away from powerhouses, like its older brother Aramis. Tuscany begins with a refreshing lemon note, common to masculine fragrances of this time, but here done with subtlety, so that the note whispers rather than screams. As it dries down, it offers a mix of aromatic herbs and flowers, a light musky/dirty quality, and a terrific leather note. Dirty notes have largely disappeared from designer male fragrances, and that's a very sad thing. This quality elevates the fragrance and really aids in capturing the vision of the Italian countryside that inspired the perfume. It also offers a passionate quality that will be appreciated when in "close quarters." For those who like things like CK One and Eternity, this offers a big step up in subtlety and complexity without really leaving behind the refreshing citrus and delightful woods and aromatics of these. So, the next time you're considering buying yet another bottle of Acqua de Gio, CK One, Eternity, and so on, why not branch out and give Tuscany a try? You won't be sorry. ... show more

  • Not what it once was but good for the price.
I fell in love with this scent in the 80's and was properly addicted. Then moved away from it for a couple decades. When I came back to it recently I discovered, as many others here have, too, that the formula has changed and the scent doesn't stay nearly as long as it once did. (I understand the fixatives used in perfumes tend to be one of the more expensive ingredients so it's logical they'd reduce it in their lesser-selling brands) Oh well. I've been through two bottles now so I guess it's still got a hold on me. ... show more

  • Classic, and Clean
I used this back in the eighties, and just ordered it mainly out of nostalgia. I remembered that it was a woody, clean smelling man's cologne, much different from most of the highly floral influenced brands out now. I noticed that the original formula versions were more expensive than the latest version, but it was cheap enough, so I bought the less expensive, Prime eligible product, and it smells like what I wore back then. I can't tell the difference. Very pleased with it, and always gets compliments when I wear it. ... show more

  • Lost and Found
This is a very elusive cologne. I've been purchasing this for a long time and would gladly pay the 70.00 price tag for the 1.7 oz for the Natural spray. The following year product not available. I order according to reviews and receive very similar to the Natural and I'm ok with it. The next year I purchased the very same product and I have no idea what fragrance this was but was not Tuscany Per Uomo. I tried it for one month and hated it and decided to order more according to reviews and I received Tuscany Per Uomo made in the UK and I'm back to the similar fragrance to the Natural spray and I'm satisfied with the product. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? I wasted 40.00 on a misrepresented product disguised as Tuscany Per Uomo. I do not want to leave this fragrance for another. Don't mess with success, bring back the Natural spray. Steve from Alford ... show more

  • The best masculine fragrance money can buy.
Aramis Tuscany is my absolute favorite fragrance. The sillage and longevity are superb - especially for an EDT - and the price point is the incredible. Abercrombie Woods of the 90’s was trying to be what Aramis Tuscany has been since the 80’s. Lovely, everyday, masculine fragrance. Unbeatable.
