BUY IT!!! We did research, looked at reviews, comfort, good value, etc and this mattress is so high rated everywhere, winning rating awards! Our T&N Mint (king) mattress was comfortable from the first day!! There’s no “breaking in period”. There’s great side support on the edges too for when you sit on the edge of the bed. I just don’t feel like I’m sitting on the edge of a foam mattress. It’s not something that looks like sinking memory foam with body outline. It exceeded expectations!! It’s easy to set up, we just watched the short video to make it even easier. Seriously, it’s so easy, five minutes. The T&N tag should face the bottom of your bed. I don’t sleep hot on this mattress either, just always comfortable. I’m a side sleeper and I prefer softer beds, my husband sleeps on his back and prefers firmer beds. We both love it! It’s a fantastic value, looks great, wonderful cover on it. The cover helps with more cool sleep and is antimicrobial too! You sleep at a comfortable temp. It’s a pretty mattress. We had it delivered to our front door, (remember to put this in “delivery instructions” area) but there are many different delivery options, even with prime. (I don’t want people inside.) Just know the box is heavy, but has handle holes, easy size. (Check what delivery/set up works for you.) My husband and son got the box upstairs quickly. We bought it during Amazon Prime Days and saved even more. (We bought a new T&N Mint Mattress for our son too!) We ordered these after seeing our daughter’s T&N Original Mattress.     • SO FAR, SO GOOD... WE'RE VERY PLEASED WITH THIS NEW FOAM MATTRESS
We bought this in Full size, to use in our Guest room with a new 14" high bed frame from another source. It was our first "mattress-in-a-box" but not our first high quality memory foam mattress. We selected the Tuft and Needle "Mint" model based on a fresh Consumer Reports rating plus on-line reviews at several sites. PRO: Very soft and comfortable top surface, yet great body support. Effectively isolates movement...no bounce or shake. Excellent perimeter support so you can sleep right next to the edge without any sag or tendency to roll off. Minimal odor when first unpacked. (Watch the manufacturer's video of that easy process, before opening.) We actually like this one better than our existing, high-end memory foam mattress costing about twice as much. CON: It would be very helpful if the rolled-up mattress had a sticker on the wrap indicating the direction it would unroll, because you can't tell. As the last of the "grip" wrapping was removed it became apparent we had it in the wrong direction to unroll and, due to the final "vacuum" bag over the mattress not being well sealed, it started to expand before we could move it. No big deal, but easily prevented by an arrow on the outer wrap. FYI: Full expansion can take a couple of days, perhaps more. Although you can sleep on it the same day, the firmness is still changing and one or more corners may look a bit sagged. Just be aware of that and have patience for the birthing process to run its course. Also, the weight is near the limit for UPS delivery and the mattress was left in our driveway instead of up on the covered porch. The same thing happened later when the bed frame was delivered. In both cases UPS had put a "sorry we missed you" sticker on the box, even though we were home and would have gladly helped to carry the box up a few steps. Just be aware that may happen to you as well. There's no danger of the mattress getting wet but, due to cost, it's a tempting target for theft and you don't want it unnecessarily exposed because of sloppy UPS service. ... show more

    • Definitely NOT a 5 in firmness.
2 month update: It's still really firm and I'm having all sorts of back and neck problems. The Mint is claimed to be a 5 on a 1-10 firmness scale but feels more like a 7. I'm hoping it will soften up with use but who knows how long that could take. It really is responsive and the top layer is indeed nice and cushiony but once you hit the under layer of foam it's pretty solid and tough. I think it's great for heavier individuals that need more support (I got this after my parents loved their Mint), but for anyone between maybe 130 and 170lbs I feel like it ends up feeling too firm because we aren't heavy enough to affect that under layer. On the other hand if you're really light or smaller, like maybe under 120lbs it could be very comfortable because you're so light that you might not sink deep enough to even hit the underlayer and feel how firm it is. You'll -only- feel that soft upper layer, which must be nice. I wonder if there are different manufacturers like how a lot of Amazon products are done and maybe I just got an off-quality one but I'm seriously considering sending it back at this point. I'm in too much pain on a daily basis because of my poor sleep and I can't believe I'm saying this but sleeping on a couch was much more comfortable. ... show more

Decided on this mattress after days of research and due diligence. I bought it for its solid, consistent long-term reviews and for its very close match to my body type and preferred sleeping position. People on the heavier end need something firmer. Side sleepers too, so that the back remains properly aligned. I’ve now been sleeping on this thing for a month and I am blown away so far. The support and comfort compared to my big lots memory foam mattress is like night and day. It’s firm and sturdy, but it also gives a good ‘hug’. It’s also a lot better about heat retention than most foam mattresses, which says a lot about its craftsmanship. Definitely a keeper, this thing. It goes to show that you don’t need to spend thousands for an excellent mattress. I plan on updating regularly about its performance. UPDATE: 4 months in and this thing is still a charm. I’m actually cuddled up into it right now as a matter of fact lmao. My only minor nitpick is that it can slide around pretty easily, but that’s hardly even a problem.
