I am a beginner to snowshoeing. I have borrowed friends' previously but decided to buy a pair for myself. This is certainly a nice beginner set. They are easy to get on and off with my snowboots and didn't come loose during a 3 mile session. Poles were easy to put together and adjust. I have not used the gaitors so no comments on those. Watched a video on proper use of snow shoes. I was not familiar with them at all. Easy to get on and off now that I know how. I am a novice and a senior citizen and these worked great for me. All that I needed for outdoor activity.
