Features

  • PERFECT FUSION OF COMFORT AND PERFORMANCE - The light and flexible snowshoe based on the Hyperflex technology allows for 100% natural foot movement. The carbon supports and the range of crampons provide optimal levels of control and foot grip on all types of snow. The flex stores energy during the bending phase to release it at the end of the stride to increase power.
  • BOA FIT SYSTEM BINDING - The Boa Fit System wheel system helps distribute binding in a precise, uniform way, thus reducing the pressure points at the front of the foot.
  • ULTIMATE TRACTION IN ALL CONDITIONS - Combined with the vertical blades, the stainless steel bidirectional crampons placed under the foot give incredible traction (uphill), excellent grip (downhill) and perfect drift control (incline). The flexible frame follows the shape of the terrain, provides superb stability and complete safety and avoids sudden sliding in powder snow. The ascent heel lift is easily activated by pushing it with your trekking pole keeping your foot flat on ascents.
  • DESIGNED IN THE HEART OF THE ALPS - Born in the mountains by people who need the best snowshoes to travel in all conditions. They flexible snowshoes are game changers for winter hiking in the snow. They are easy to adjust for an ideal fit. The interchangeable crampons swap out easy depending on what the snow conditions are for the day.
  • SHOE SIZE FIT (Large): 8 - 15 mens | SUPPORTS WEIGHT: 150 - 300 lbs | SNOWSHOE WEIGHT: 2.32 lbs per snowshoe | SIZE: 27 x 8.5 in

Description

Hyper-flexible and light with an ergonomic binding, the Symbioz adapts to the unevenness of the terrain to give extraordinary traction. The inserts provide elasticity and lightness and offer a feeling of freedom and ease. Carbon reinforcements offer superb flexibility; they store energy during the bending phase and restore it at the end of the stride to increase stride power and reduce effort. They act dynamically during every part of the stride. Distortion of the Symbioz frame is progressive, responsive, precise and uniform in both the bending and twisting phases. Carbon reinforcements reduce vibration and give greater muscle relaxation and the feeling of freedom and ease. Flexible binding provides a high level of foot flexibility. Never has a snowshoe offered such outstanding grip. Combined with the vertical blades, the stainless steel bidirectional crampons placed under the foot give incredible traction on the uphill, excellent grip on the downhill and perfect drift control during inclines. The flexible frame follows the shape of the terrain, provides superb stability and complete safety and avoids sudden sliding in powder snow. The front teeth provide maximum traction on steep slopes. The vertical blades provide superb traction and control on inclines or steep slopes in soft snow. 8 interchangeable stainless steel crampons, similar to mountaineering crampons, provide traction on all types of snow. Comfortable and easy to put on as a result of their pre-adjustment feature that memorizes shoe size, the Symbioz’s telescopic bindings accentuate the foot movement provided by the frame. The Easy Ascent heel lift incorporated into the binding is activated by simple downward push from the pole. Also, during ascents, you won’t have any feeling of discomfort under your foot as your weight is spread across the whole of the binding heel with in the frame. The new Easy Ascent heel lift, built into the binding, is activated by simply pushing it with the pole.

  • Love these snowshoes
Color: Apricot Size: Medium
I am an older snowshoer who loves to get out in the Idaho mountains. After using these snowshoes for four outings in one week, my knees and legs were less fatigued and painful than when using my old traditional snowshoes. The heel lift is wonderful and I credit the flexibility of the snowshoes for less fatigue. I had to watch a TSL Outdoor video several times to make the required adjustments to the bindings to fit my boots. Once done, snap in and go. The ankle binding will loosen a bit, but a quick check and a quick tightening and you are good to go. I wish I had thought to upgrade my snowshoes years ago. ... show more

  • Great shoes!
Color: Titan Black Size: Large
These are very sturdy, high quality shoes. I have only used twice on moderate terain, but I like the feel and the support. If you think you are close to the weight limit on your size, yes you do want to go up a size.

  • Very Comfortable
Color: Apricot Size: Large
The ease of on and off is fantastic. The fit and security in your feet is excellent. Very flexible and able to walk naturally with the shape and size. Excellent snowshoes.

  • VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TO WALK IN!!!!
Color: Titan Black Size: Medium
The media could not be loaded. Very light weight with a cool look, BUT BUT BUT BUT.... the toe krampon makes this snowshoe very challenging to walk in. The toe krampon is located @ the very end of the foot so when walking on firm or packed snow, especially flat areas, the krampon makes it very difficult to walk with a normal stride. It's feels like you are fighting the snowshoes, and puts undue stress on the soles of the feet and calves. Even if you were to remove the metal piece, the hard plastic that supports the metal krampon still makes contact with the ground 1st and causes discomfort. Very awkward and uncomfortable. I wish I had paid a little more and got the MSRs I know and love instead of $300 for these design flawed shoes. I tried to get ahold of the seller to see if they could assist me with Arcturus but there is no contact information to be found. DO NOT BUY THESE SNOWSHOES!!!! ... show more
