  • Brilliant Garment for the Price
Size: Large Tall Color: Black
Great jacket for the price. This is just a shell, it's not lined in anyway. It is definitely waterproof and has some great design features like under arm zippers to ventilate if you get too hot. Lots of pockets for stuff and a stow away hood. You can buy a fleece lining that attaches by snap studs and a front zipper which turns this shell into a warm coat, I've done this and the fleece which is around $45 works fine. I'm 6ft 2, weigh 179 lb and have a 34' waist. I purchased the Large/Long. ... show more

  • rustling noise to the point being unusable
Size: Medium Tall Color: Multicam
Feedback from combat front line: "after some tests we confirm that in general it's a quality thing. With one critical drawback: a specific rustling noise while moving. It can be heard in the forest from 70-100 meters away, and even further during a night operation". Be aware

  • waterproof
Size: X-Large Color: Coyote
This is an excellent and durable rain jacket. It is not quite as heavy as first gen ecwcs jacket. This works well for work and I have the matching pants. Fit is oversized like ecwcs so there is plenty of room to add a fleece liner and layer underneath..

  • Perfect ECWCS alternative. Make sure you get the liner!
Size: XX-Large Color: Multicam
This jacket is the perfect ECWCS equivalent that is issued by CIF, without the killer pricetag. If you live in the Pacific Northwest or other constantly rainy environment, you can't beat this wet-weather jacket. I've ordered in both OCP and Olive Green. Highly recommend you also get the Polar Fleece liner from Tru-Spec: https://amzn.to/40cUqwA It buttons into the sleeves and zips into the internal liner zippers. Great for pretty low below-freezing temperatures when layered with baselayers, merino wool, flannels, sweaters, etc. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality
Size: X-Large Tall Color: Woodland Digital
These jackets are great. I had one when I served in the Marines and wanted to get another one. I unfortunately returned mine because the XL long was way too big on me (6'4" 250lbs) and they are currently sold out of L long so I'll have to wait and try again.

  • Simply Ok
Size: Large Color: Multicam
4 stars for fait attempt at tru spec version of Gortex. Has all the zippers and pockets in right places, waterproof and lighter and slightly thinner than original (1st generation) Gore tex parka issued by US Army. This Parka top however, is quite a bit larger than needed for multiple layering to be worn underneath, and its hood is so large that even with a Kevlar helmet, its still too large such that it drapes over face obstructing frontal view. In terms of oversizing, thats not such a deal breaker so this jacket will be retained. If purchasing the trouser version, it made no sense that tru spec would size it too small, preventing its use as an outer layer because putting on silkies and fleece trousers would make it too tight. Overall, im quite disppointed with this tru spec for said charactaristics. Furthermore, this top, although taped at seams, has no full liner underneath. This liner helps to creat a slippery layer which enhances ease of movement and also serves to peotect the taped seams. As i see it. If one is carrying a heavy load like a Ranger Ruck, those taped seams will separate. You see, the original USGI goretex came with a fill liner and mine is still holding up well, and has endured multiple deployements as an Infantry officer. Overall, i believe that for this product, it is overpriced and a better alternative is to purchase original is sue goretex, gen 1-gen3. Im returning the bottom and i would do same for top had return window were still available. ... show more

  • Yes, but....
Size: Small Color: Black
The high collar is going (Not thoroughly tested as of yet.) to be good for keeping the elements out. However, it is very stiff. It may soften over time. The fabric is stiff/hard. I made this purchase in particular for the durability of the fabric. The woods where I hang out have a lot of briars/thorns. This fabric will prevent the damage caused by those thorns more than the Ozonic Mountain Hardware rain gear that I used for two years by the way. (Worth it.) Do be aware that the Southeast Asian sizes do run smaller! You will want to order one size larger than your normal size. Possibly....depending on how much layering you will require. One more thing, for summer use it seems the garments may be too warm. Durable though. ... show more
