  • very comfy and very dangerous
Size: Medium Color: All Black Rubber
I bought this helmet because I needed one to skate in and I was impressed with the 4.8/5 star reviews. when it arrived after a quick look I was happy with it and impressed at how comfy and low profile it was, after A little farther examination it is clear to see that this helmet is not safe, there is no crushable foam or "Expanded Polystyrene" which is the stuff that is designed to crush on impact and absorb most high impact shock there are just some thin foam pads and a bendy plastic shell (its bendy enough that you can easily put it on sideways) and clearly states on the inside that this helmet "does not meet any national safety standards" and "Impacts even at very low speeds can result in injury or death". If you read any of the other positive comments, they are based solely on how much their grandchildren wear it and and how comfy it is, nothing concerning the safety even remotely. So if you want a comfy and stylish helmet and don't really care about permanent brain damage, paralysis, and death then this could be the perfect helmet for you but if that's the case whats the point of wearing a helmet in the first place. the only reason I took the time to write this long article is solely because I care, who knows, maybe it will save someone's life someday. ... show more

  • Not good
Size: Medium Color: Baja Teal Rubber
This helmet does not meet any safety standards for skating or biking. So lame to sell a helmet that isn’t much more than a piece of plastic. Posting a picture that states the warning.

  • Don't recommend! Unsafe
Size: Medium Color: Black Rubber w/ Red
Does not meet or exceed U.S. CPSC Bike and ASTM F-1492 Skate safety standards; no EPS, or MIPS. Returned item and purchased a Bern helmet instead. Triple 8 offers U.S. CPSC Bike and ASTM F-1492 Skate safety standards; get that one instead! Not this one if you truly want your skull and brains to be protected! Stay safe! ... show more

  • GREAT HELMET
Size: XX-Large Color: Black Rubber w/ Red
I like to go electric scootering with my son Danny. It's a blast. About a year ago, I took a fall. I used my arms so my head would not hit the ground. I scrapped all the skin off my arm to the bone. I knew that I needed a helmet-(It's not "if" you fall it's "when" you fall. The helmet was so hard to find because I have a big head. I went to local stores 1st to see what size I needed. Some were very tight. Some sat really high. I got an XXL from Triple 8. It fits my head very nicely. The chin strap keeps it from moving. The inside cushion is very comfortable. ... show more

  • Not CPSC certified (not safe for biking or skating)
Size: Medium Color: All Black Rubber
This is not a safe helmet. It lacks the foam core that prevents brain injuries. The pads are comfortable but the ABS shell alone is not sufficient for most applications. For the price and target demographics, it doesnt make sense not to have the foam (which explains the lack of dual certification... which even Bell brand helmets have). As a skater, you'd almost be safer without a helmet providing the illusion of safety because this helmet provides a false sense of security. It doesn't make any sense how many grandparents bought this for their grandchildren! A Bell helmet cost half as much and will provide more safety. I can't believe how many people left rave reviews and few people actually caught this. On the bright side, the return process was easy and streamlined. It is comfortable but mostly useless. ... show more

  • 10/10 impact rating.
Size: Large Color: Red Rubber
We bought this for our son last year. Tonight was the first night he went down hard. The back of his head hit the pavement so hard. The helmet took very little damage. Some minor scratches. He didn’t suffer a concussion surprisingly. His body on the other hand is gonna take some time to heal. Tons of road rash for an 11 year old. This helmet is worth every penny. It may have saved my sons life today. ... show more

  • Safety first! Love the helmet!
Size: Large Color: Black Rubber w/ Red
So I purchased this helmet because I bought a Boosted board to commute to work and it’s great. I eventually fell off the board at a high speed. Luckily, I did not break anything...that time. Fell hard on my back but the helmet protected the back of my head so I only had some scrapes and bruises. I very much recommend this. The price is great. It’s sturdy. Feels comfortable even for those who wear glasses and I love the black and red colors. I will say, always keep the helmet on! I took it off a few hundred feet from work while on the board and hit a pothole. Ended up hitting my head on the pavement and fractured the radial head on my left arm, so make sure to always keep it on when riding. Be safe out there. 10/10 ... show more

  • 56cm petite female head, medium size fits
Size: Medium Color: All Black Rubber
I’m a petite Asian female and my head measures 56cm (right between medium and large), I got a medium. First try it felt tight and seemed like a lot of pressure on my forehead, but after wearing it for about half an hour while skateboarding I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. I think it fits just right. I got a large as well which I returned because it looks a lot bigger but feels the same on the head tightness wise (but heavier). I’m a casual beginner skateboarder so I think the amount of protection is sufficient for me. Most certified helmets are spaceballs like so I probably would just not wear it every time out of self-awareness but this one is light and looks pretty nice so I plan to wear it when every time I go skateboarding. Cons: you can’t wear high pony tail with this helmet. If it’s very low it’s possible. ... show more
