  • Takes care of business
Compact, intelligent and low cost. Great product for the application.

  • A useful device.
Simple to use and does what it supposed to do - maintains the 12V lead battery charged. Excellent for folks who drive cars mostly short distances (local stores), or leave cars for long time without driving ("snow birds"). It is not a charger and should not be expected as per the description. There are two short attachments to the main very long cable; one with O-ring and the other with clips. Either could be attached to the main cable with a polarized standard connector. One can "permanently" screw on the O-ring attachment to battery terminals and connect to the main cable only when in use. One can make the O-ring attachment long enough (or by a longer one, e.g., https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074BS8B14?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) so the polarized connector can be placed (with an adhesive clip) outside of the car's hood next to the windshield wipers. Then the hood can stay closed :). Cannot say anything about longevity - two-week experience is not enough. ... show more

  • Nice trickle charger
I bought one of these for my BMW motorcycle as the OEM one from BMW was about $100. Changed out the adaptor from the BMW standard adapter to the one I bought. It works fine and does its job well for about 80% cheaper. I liked it so much, I bought another one. I highly recommended it. Update: I have three of these now for my three motorcycles. They work just fantastically and you can't beat the price. You should know that if you use them all the time your motorcycle is inactive. YOu can extend to life of the battery from what have read by about 2-3 years longer. So if it saves you from having to buy a $120 plus battery for another 2-3 years, why would you not spend the $18 or so to do it? The trickle charger is microprocessor controlled so it takes care of Initialization, constant current, constant voltage and floating charge. It does not have a desulfator function though. But for the vast majority of users, this is not needed. ... show more

  • Effective, reliable, value-priced, easy to monitor
This was connected to a 12V battery on a large, complex wood splitter. By plugging into a wall outlet, I am able to see the color of the indicator light. Green is good - red not so much. I have two other such units, attached to lawn mower and tractor - both are over a year old and have worked as intended. I am up-dating this to log-in another purchase (the third such) - chosen on the basis of simple, reliable, low cost, and easy to monitor. These trickle chargers are the berries! ~ The Duffian ... show more

  • Works as advertised!
After sitting for 4-5 months over the winter, this brought my car's battery back to life. I jumped it a couple of times but after driving around for 1-2 hours, it wouldn't hold enough of a charge to even turn the interior lights on so I took a chance and bought this charger. After 36 hours, the charging light was still solid red, so I was beginning to think it wasn't working. Thankfully, I woke up this morning to solid green and the car turned over like a champ! It took about 48 hours to fully charge but was worth the wait. I highly recommend it for the money! ... show more

  • Does what it needs to do
I bought this two years ago for my Toyota truck that gets stored away for the winter. It works fantastic and has never had an issue. Last summer there was a problem with my other vehicle, and the batter ran down and died. A couple of days hooked up to the trickle charger brought it back to life. I've also used it a couple of times on my Cub Cadet tractor lawnmower and it revived it every time without fail. The lights on it can be a little confusing and I have to keep the manual nearby to decipher what they are supposed to be doing. If you hook it up to a dead battery, it will indicate that it is not charging, but after a day of being hooked up, it'll start showing that it is charging. And in response to a couple of questions, I have hooked it up to batteries that are taken out of the vehicle, and still connected in the vehicle. I've run into no problems doing it either way. My aforementioned Toyota truck sits in the garage with the battery still connected plus connected to the trickle charger with no issues (I leave the hood up so I remember that it is plugged in though!). This is a great product and would definitely buy again if the need arises. ... show more

  • Worth having.
Good little charger. Keeps my generator battery at full charge and doesn't over charge it. I use it once a month to keep the battery at full charge.

  • Still Working
I use it for my snow blower. Works as advertised. It’s a third of f the price of name brands and works just as good. Time will tell about longevity.
