I don’t have any outdoor lighting other than a porch light. You couldn’t see my house at all from the street prior to buying these lights. I keep them on the highest setting for the most light. They go on at dusk and stay lit until 2:30-3 am and then start to fizzle out and the solar supply dies out. I liked them so much I bought several more for the side of the house. Great purchase. TLDR: 4 stars overall because the batteries can’t be changed, which is annoying, but 5 stars for the warm white color and brightness when fully charged after a sunny day. Our lights came on last night at 6pm and were still on at 6am this morning (low setting, bright sunny day for a full charge, solar panels at southeast facing orientation). That said, on a cloudy day after a snowstorm, most of the lights stayed on at full brightness for about 4 hours before going out. I initially purchased 4 of the warm white Jior landscaping solar lights in November and I bought 20 more in warm white in January. I like they have 32 LEDs for maximum brightness, more than double some of the other lights available. The warm white color is very pleasant to the eyes, and makes our landscaping look beautiful at night. I recommend them, with the understanding that you cannot ever change the battery (it’s built in). So if they fail, they must be totally replaced: expensive! For best performance you must make sure you orient the the lights solar panels to the south / southeast / southwest otherwise you might be disappointed. Know going in that on cloudy or rainy days this product is not going to charge the way it should in order to work that night. Lighting an area that requires the solar panels to be installed facing north or in a shadow will result in poor performance. The sun is required to charge the battery. Overcast days even south facing, you might get 2 hours of lights or less that night, on the low setting. Because of this, I would not recommend this to be used as your only security lights unless you live somewhere it is sunny all the time. Tips for success based upon my experiences using this product. Make sure you orient the solar panels on the lights to the south/ southeast/southwest in order to get the correct amount of sunlight to recharge the batteries every day. Placement is important- don’t put them in the shade. Placement is important for the beam spread to highlight everything. Putting the lights too close to an object will result in a bright pinpoint, moving the lights farther away will have a great effect and increase brightness over a larger area. I experimented with up lighting some bare cherry trees (it’s winter now) and the effect is very nice when you place the lights about 2 feet from the trunk. As with all batteries, very cold weather can affect the performance. The lighting performance once below about 15 degrees Fahrenheit is lessened. * You will need to be aware of the seasonal transit of the sun over your location and study how the shadows cast by objects affectthe placement of the lights for greatest success. At different times of the year, you might have to move or re-orient the lights to get an optimal charge. Be sure you study the way the sun comes across the area that you want lit. Overall I recommend this product. I am buying another 12 to light up some farther out areas of our yard. ... show more

We don't have electric ran to be able to install hardwired lights so we decided to look into solar lights. Saw that these had good reviews and decided to give them a shot. Overall lights seem solid and well made. They produce a good amount of light onto the landscaping and add the accent that we had not had prior to these lights. Although I already have garden lights in my yard, I've been a big fan of solar lights due to the idea of saving energy, even though these lights aren't necessarily cheap in any way. I first started off with getting ones from a more popular brand, with no issues. Then I got these in warm white color, and wow, these get BRIGHT, considering these are solar-powered! I'm not talking bright like the traditional ones where it's plugged in, but these have three brightness settings, and it's noticeably brighter than the other brands I have. You can see in my third photo, the left being the JIOR ones, and the right being the other brand. I've had it for several weeks now, and they seem to charge well and turn on well as the sun sets, and I'm a big fan. First, I felt it wouldn’t do these justice to upload a photo of the lights at night because all of the cameras these days will brighten up what the human eye actually sees in real life. I bought these lights to use for some landscape lighting for some of my new tree plantings in front of my house. They are extremely easy to use and set up but that is where the great feature list ends. I used them for about a week and here is why I ended up sending these back: 1: These lights are not that bright. Even at maximum brightness, these are just a really soft light and cannot really compare to a low-voltage hard wired landscape light. 2: The batteries are not accessible and can never be replaced. This is a bad idea since all batteries have a limited life span and will eventually fail to hold a full charge after daily charge cycles. This means you will need to buy more lights to replace the ones that fail. 3: Once these lights come on, they don’t turn off until they die or the sun comes up. This puts even more stress on the batteries since it doesn’t appear that they have a low-voltage cut off. The lights stay on endlessly through the night until they eventually get so dim that they die. I personally would rather see a light on at full brightness or not on at all. I understand that these are solar powered and one cannot expect that they will get an endless supply of bright light but I had much higher expectations for these. All things considered, you should save your money and buy a low-voltage landscape transformer, some direct burial landscape wire and a set of low-voltage landscape lights and do it the right way if it is at all practical. ... show more
