I was not sure of what resistance to start with as I do a lot of yoga and am mixing in some strength training. Got the 15 lb and it seems like it was a good place to start, although I feel I will go up to 20 lb in a short time. When I got the email from Tribe to register and clicked on print and found I was printing a manual, would have printed page one and then printed the rest to a PDF if I had realized that. These seem to be durable enough and you can do MANY different exercises with them. They don't take up much space so you can carry them in a suitcase or overnight bag. I bought the 20lb but I am about ready to move to a heavier weight.
