I have a Ledger Nano S, so that's what I'll be comparing this to. This device doesn't come with firmware and there is a security tape on the bottom of the USB C slot to ensure it's not tampered with. You download the software on a PC and download the firmware. The rest of the setup is nearly identical to a Ledger. The touch screen makes navigating and setting up things much easier, especially if you're punching in a seed phrase. It will fill out the words for you and highlight the potential phrase. It makes recovering wallets a cinch. The device itself is extremely small, practically the same size as the Ledger. It's lightweight but also has no battery. That means it has to be plugged in at all times to work, which is a shame. I don't want to always mess with a USB cable. The biggest disappointment for me is that there is no iOS support. You can only view on an iOS device, but not perform any transactions. I'm not sure why Trezor wouldn't add full support for iPhones, but Ledger has them beat if you use iOS devices exclusively, like me. This is an excellent step up compared to the Ledger Nano S, but Ledger also released a new touchscreen model. It is much more expensive, but if you're this deep into crypto that you're considering this, then a few bucks more won't hurt. If you're an iOS user, look at Ledger instead. ... show more

I love the form factor of this unit, as it is small and easy to use. The touchscreen is nice, looks good and very responsive. At present, I only use it for a couple different coins. However, I plan to move more of my portfolio to the hardware wallet soon. I have seen some reviews about the lack of Bluetooth or other wireless options. However, that is one of things I most like about this unit. For me, requiring the use of a physical USB cable makes it more secure. Build quality is good and seems like it should hold up for a very long time. As is usually the case, the Trezor software and interface is very good and easy to use, and the unit supports a ton of different crypto assets. Compatibility has grown a lot with Trezor hardware wallets in the last couple of years (that's good.) Overall, this is a very good crypto wallet and a reasonably good value for the price. I was previously using the Ledger Nano for my wallet. The numbers on it as uncomfortably small and easy to make mistakes. Now that I have used the Trezor Safe 5, I can easily interact with the wallet and see everything with ease. The bright color screen is tough and can withstand scratching with the Gorilla glass. All the options like haptic feedback, large screen, and extra security were my main buy points. This wallet is very simple to use for all my crypto needs. So far I'm a big fan of the Trezor Safe 5. The touch screen is very nice and convenient. It's not super necessary, as you can pretty much do everything on your computer when you plug it in, but it does feel very nice and premium to use, which I'm a fan of. The unit is quite small and very sleek, you don't really even see the screen when it's powered off. Trezor has been up there with the best of the hard wallets for a while, and I have no worries or regrets about using this device to hold my crypto. ... show more
