I don't drink. I once tasted a margarita when I was a kid at a restaurant with my parents. That is my only experience with tequila. So why read this review? Because it is about how the stuff tastes and not how it compares. Too many reviews are about how it compares to actual booze. I don't care about that, I don't drink actual booze. This stuff smells great, and tastes great. It mixes well with other things to make a quite nice and refreshing beverage. It's complex in its flavors and sits well on the pallet. Totally worth it if what you are looking for is a fun beverage to make you feel grown up rather than just having a diet coke all the time. I don't want booze, but I also don't want to only have the same drinks over and over. Give this a try, I really think you will like it. Ignore it if what you want is booze. ... show more

But wow this is not a good tasting product. The flavor is nothing near any gin I’ve ever had. Of course I wasn’t expecting it to be just like gin but It tasted like a watered down nothing flavor. After a tiny sip I tried to return it, but returns aren’t allowed. Don’t buy it.

If you've bought non-alcoholic "spirits" before, you probably can relate to the cringe of taking that first sip, please be good, please be good, please be good...Hey - this is pretty good! OK - it's not tequila. Mouthfeel is close but a little more watery, and it doesn't have the same agave richness/sweetness. But what I really do like is the finish - this is the closest I've seen yet to the "burn" finish of an alcoholic spirit. Seedlip can be used to make a good/complex mocktail, but I've always found it unimpressive by itself and this really justifies that position, to me. Try harder, Seedlip and others. I tried it last night in a palomoa, doing the recommended 1:1 substitute for tequila. The grapefruit overpowered, but when I added an extra ounce of Trejo's, that worked out pretty nicely. So as with most spirits, this is something to experiment with and make notes on how to use. (You're not going to 1:1 substitute Clase Azul for Don Julio Anejo, either...) One worry - my bottle came in a colorful box (I'm a sucker for good packaging), but there was no plastic seal over the cork? I see one in the pictures, not sure if this is a QA thing, there's an issue, or they decided NA doesn't need a seal... ... show more

I had such high hopes. This tasted nothing like tequila. The only thing that made it better was mixing it to make a margarita, then it could pass for tequila taste. But if you’re hoping to do shots, this is not a good substitute.

I am a little sad, as this product is advertised as Natural ingredients, but when I got the bottle. I could now see that it has red no.40. (which is not natural or good for someone) I did not open the bottle, and I was hoping to return it unopened. But I see there is no return policy allowed. I just wish I had known about the full ingredients so that I would not have purchased it. Such a bummer! ... show more
