Let's start off by saying our summers get to 112° sometimes. I am a sun protection freak! Not only is my skin sensitive to the sun because of my rosacea, but i also don't want the risk of skin cancers. This umbrella is the best I have ever had so far. It really blocks the sun and it stays strong during really windy days. I use this every single time I am in the sun; even if it's just walking into the store.I bought this about almost a year ago and it's still working!!!!! The colors are exactly what you get. This umbrella is okay. It does what it says it does and blocks the sun. However.. it’s a little smaller than I expected, very difficult to close, and also I’ve had the wind blow it inside out. (And it wasn’t even that strong of wind.)

I like this umbrella has the button to auto open fully or auto close partially. It is a bit heavier than those compact light weight umbrella, but easily fit into a medium size tote bag. Although the material looks good and not flimsy, I dont think it can survive under strong wind. It is good enough for a gentle rainy day. ... show more

I originally bought this to use as a rain umbrella, but have discovered how effective it is as a parasol. I used it to stand in line out on a hot sidewalk and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the temperature under the umbrella was a good 5-7 degrees cooler than with another umbrella that didn't have the black layer inside. This umbrella is auto open and close, so it should be practical to use in the rain as well. It folds down to a compact size, but has a larger canopy than you would expect for a folding umbrella. I'm really pleased with the color too - exactly as it appeared on my monitor. It's a very pretty shade of pale mint green. You have to work a bit to get it folded and strapped tightly enough to fit it inside its carrying case, but if that is a problem, I could just not put it back in its case! I have only had it for a couple of months, so can't speak to the durability. If it breaks within a year, I will definitely come back and revise this review. ... show more
