Bought the Chakipee Travel Compact Umbrella for its windproof design and was initially pleased with its look and price. Unfortunately, it quickly showed its cheap construction when it failed to close after a few uses. Disappointing, as I had high hopes for its durability and convenience.

I love that it's compact and folds up, but it also opens flipped up so if it's raining hard, you get wet as you jiggle it around flipping the sides back down.

Pros: Liked the Color, design and price point. Cons: Won’t stay closed, and could be more compact. Would have been a great product, if it would stay closed. Many other people had the same complaints. I will be returning this Item.

It's affordable and works well. But the umbrella fabric seems to be vulnerable to dirt If you want to go, choose a dark color.
