    • Sturdy enough to drive with impact.
Wanted to anchor a 2x10 to the ground so I could then screw a small hot tub gazebo to the 2x10. I drove 4 of these down into my mostly clay and roots soil. I did hit some rocks and roots, but these eventually seemed to power through. I used my dewalt 20v impact gun, the big one that is for removing car wheel lug nuts! I was afraid the head or shaft would snap, but the socket stayed firm and even when I hit an obstruction, I let the impact hammer away until it continued on. I bought some stainless steel bolts and washers to bolt the 2x10 down to these anchors. Seemed to work good. If you're wondering, I ran these down to about just under 1.5" off the ground so the heads would be just under the height of the 2x10. I then cut a piece of cardboard the same length and width of the 2x10, centered it over the 4 anchors, and hit the celardboard with a mallet at each anchor to mark their location on the cardboard. I then used that to mark and drill out a hole at each point and them slid the 2x10 down over. The alignemt wasn't perfect, but a little wiggle of the anchor and it would drop through. Then I ran the bolts and washers down to secure the 2x10 to the ground. ... show more

We needed heavy duty stakes to hold down and secure a large soccer goal. These units work fantastic! Easy to screw in to the soil and there is little to no movement. Cool feature to use a drill to secure to the ground and then screw the top rings on.

    • Doesn't work with any kind of gravel or pea stone
We ended up using a sledge to tap these in and twist them with a screwdriver through the ring that screwed into the top. I used a 12V Dewalt drill with the proper bit and it wasn't enough for o get through the gravel and pea stone. Might be okie just for dirt or sand.

Bought these to use for tying down the winter cover on my pool. Love how you can put a drill on them to drive into the ground; went in really easy, and the perfect length. Then after driving them in, simply screw on the eyelet top. Liked them so much I just bought a second set.

Does the trick. Differently keeps my car canopy from going anywhere. The tent material would tear off before the frame would go anywhere. Already have had 50 MPH wind and rain and held up with no problems at all!!!
