This assist is well built and exactly like the higher priced ones with one exception. Gorilla, one of the higher price ones was purchased by a friend who commented it's exactly like his with two exceptions. No brand name stickers on it and plastic rollers instead of aluminum. One word of caution. It is recommended for a 4' to 6' gate. Mine is only 3'-2". I installed both sides and it was way too much power. The gate wouldn't stay open and took as much force to open it as it previously did to close it. I removed one side and it is perfect with just one side installed on the smaller, lighter gate. ... show more

Definitely worth it. Had to buy some shorter mounting bolts because the ones supplied were not threaded all the way up and my trailer is just a piece of angle. Some people say it’s the same as gorilla lift but has plastic cable rollers and no brand sticker, but mine came with the aluminum rollers. The media could not be loaded. The installation of this was rather simple only after watching a YouTube video. I installed on a 6 x 8 ft trailer with a 55 lb ramp.
