This is a very good umbrella for the price. It's sturdy and well made, doesn't feel cheap, and the open/close mechanism is responsive and quick. It provides good coverage without being huge and hard to walk around with, folds up to a pretty compact size, and the handle is comfortable to hold. It's easy to get back into the slip it comes in, and I like the elastic cord that I can sling around my wrist while holding it. I'm really happy with it overall. I really want to highlight the outstanding customer service of TradMall. They stand behind their product, and care about customer satisfaction. I had this umbrella for over a year, and had used it quite a few times. It held up well in average rainy weather, until last week a sudden strong gust turned it inside out for the first time, and the material tore away from one of the ribs. These umbrellas have a lifetime warranty, so I emailed TradMall and told them what happened. I wasn't even sure they'd answer, but I had a reply within hours. The customer service person I spoke with (Tracy) was friendly and professional, and by the evening of the day I sent the email, they'd placed an order for a replacement umbrella, no questions asked. If you want a basic umbrella, go but a $5 umbrella because this is definitely basic and not windproof. It is not at all sturdy, very wobbly. They do exchange, but replacement was just as unstable. ——Seller contacted me and resolved issue——-

My umbrella hunt seemed to have some impossible parameters. I wanted a huge umbrella so my hubby could join me under it, but also one that would fold down to a fairly compact size. And I didn't want it to weigh a ton. And I wanted a bright color. (Why is there so much black?!? Rain is already depressing enough.) After a lot of consideration and reading of comments, I went this this one. Great choice as it did meet all those requirements. My only challenge thus far is that because it's so big and folding down so small, it's really hard to get the strap to attach and stay connected to bundle it back up neatly. ... show more
