Wow!!! I shoot a 60lb recurve for target, and got this for my son for his 2 year birthday. Its fantastic!!! He knows daddys bow, so he loved it right when he unwrapped it. After getting it out of the packaging he took to it almost immediately. We practiced on the sliding glass door for a bit then went out to daddys target range. He got a good shot off on the first day at 2yrs old!! This bow is age appropriate for 3+ yrs, and has the perfect power and draw for my son (who is quite big for his age). Short range, but exactly what you want. Its not "idiot proof" and takes coordination for him to operate. I wouldnt think most kids his age would pick it up so quick, but hes seen me shoot many times. He loves to see me shoot which is why I got it for him. This is more than a toy. This is a learning experience, and I am extremely happy with the purchase. EDIT: I super glued the arrow rest in. He likes the quiver, but I have a feeling he wont use it long (I barely use mine). I dont think we will ever use the target. Target is nice, we just have other things to shoot at. Edit 2: Day 2 of son using bow and I cant get some of the bad reviews here out of my head. One said its a 'plastic piece of junk', and I guess that guy was expecting a $400 compound bow. Another said its easily broken, but this is well made. Its 9 pieces of ridged plastic put together by real metal screws. I dont think my son could break it if he tried. Bow doesnt flex? Yes it does, but you dont need a bow stringer to string it. String breaks easy? I dont see how thats possible, and my 8 year old could fix it in two minutes if it did with no extra string or parts. The worst review here that makes me lose a little faith in humanity: "kids may get frustrated if arrow doesn't hit target". I dont know what to say about that other than maybe this person needs to start a pre-paid therapy fund. This set is great until I get him to a real one at about 5 yrs old. ... show more

I bought this for my five-year-old son and it was an instant hit! The arrows shoot well and really do stick with the section tips. The only drawback are the arrows can be broken easily. One broke immediately when it was shot at the Target. And unfortunately the other two arrows are showing stress marks on the middle of the shaft. They will not last much longer. We definitely like the bow and arrow set but I would recommend buying an extra set of arrows! ... show more

The product is child friendly, easy to use, and of a great quality. Although we had one or two arrows that broke, the company was kind enough to send us another set. I would recommend this bow and arrow to anyone interested. Above all, my 3 and 6 years old love it.

My son bought this for my grand son. The grand son has fun with it.....but my son loves it. He walks around the house shooting at things. Once in awhile he can get it to stick to the target. I think you have to shoot it pretty hard to get it to stick, so the 5 yr old can't do that, but the 31 year old can. :) ... show more

If I could give no stars I would! I was so excited to buy this for my nephew for his 5th birthday and it looks like I bought it at the dollar store! It is so cheaply made and am to embarrassed to give to him! For $25 I expected something better! I would return but not worth the hassle! I feel like I got RIPPED off! You should be ashamed of yourself for selling such a junky toy for so much! I'm so angry I have never felt like this from anything I bought from Amazon for the past 6 years!!!! I'm actually surprised at how sturdy this bow is. I bought this for my 5-year-old and he loves it. His older siblings (7,9) also play with this often. We have only had it for a couple days now but it is still working well and hasn't broken yet! We were surprise it came so small for the price. We wern't expecting it. We unbox it and give it a try to hit the target in a 10ft distance, but the bow is too small and the target is small too and cant even hit it. So we have to move closer.
