  • If Pure Volume Of Fire And/Or OVERWHELMING Force Is Your Thing....You Have Found Your Nerf Gun!
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Look, I'm an old man, Ancient by Nerf standards. I had some of the very first Nerf dart shooters and I have dabbled in the hobby on and off ever since. This is the very first Nerf gun I have ever owned, that met and exceeded every single expectation I had. This thing is a bullet hose and I freekin LOVE it. I'll pro con it for you in a minute, but lets talk for a moment, just you and me.... Lately Nerf battles have begun to break out in our office. There was the odd hammershot, a Kronos or two. Before long the mega blasters arrived with their whistling foam sticks of doom. Soon things escalated to magazine fed nerf rifles, and then the flywheel blasters arrived. I contented myself for a time with two hammershots (upgraded of course). They were accurate and with the 7 round 3d printed cylinders they had plenty of power. One day I decided I was not content to come out slightly on top of the game, I wanted to scare people back into their cubes or punish them severely for daring to take a cheap shot at me. I bought a Nemesis, and I was disappointed. It's not bad, but not nearly what I expected. Then this bad boy went on sale for Black Friday, I held off as long as I could, we have a baby on the way after all. In the end I was weak and I pulled the trigger. Boy am I glad I did! This thing blows away all my expectations it is an absolute monster, and after one day on the floor NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE wants to even think about taking a shot at me. This baby absolutely BURRIES people in balls. The rate of fire is absurd, the power is outstanding, and the reactions it gets are second to none! Brass Tax Time: Pro's: Unmatched Rate of Fire (nothing else Nerf makes is even close to this rate of fire) Excellent velocity (often times rate of fire takes the place of good power, this baby has both) Holds ~275 rounds (and trust me you will need them) Includes 200 balls (Even if you go aftermarket that's 30 bucks worth of ammo, if you go Nerf it's closer to $50) Includes rechargeable battery (It's proprietary so it only works with this blaster, but still there are no batteries to buy...EVER) Looks like a monster (It's bite is every bit as bad, if not worse, than it's bark) Cons: Difficult to Aim, there is no way to aim this thing well. This is a volume of fire blaster and not a precision instrument. I have hit several innocents due to my first rounds going high and carrying a VERY long way across the office. After you let someone have it you have to go pick up HUGE amounts of spent ammunition. 8 seconds of fun means 5 minutes of gathering up your ammo. Normally I ding flywheel blasters for having to spin up, but this thing spins up nearly instantly. Blaster is hands down better than the nemesis. I would never pay the retail price of $199 for ANY Nerf blaster, that includes this one even as good as it is. I bought it on sale for $89 on black Friday and for that price it is a STEAL. My limit on a silly fun expense like this is around $100, and it's still a hell of a deal for that price. I would imagine you can get this thing for $120 and if you can I would consider that a good price on a great blaster. How much a toy blaster is worth to you, I can't say, but I'm confident once you pull the trigger you won't be able to take the smile off your face! ... show more

  • AAAAAAwwwwwweeeesome!!!!!!!!!!

All you can really say about the Rival gun is AWESOME!!!! Gun has killer speed and capacity. Its diffently overkill when you are playing against others in a Rival battle. But I will say its a good gun to lay down suppressive fire when you are trying to move positions. Also if you want to lay waist to you kids in battle its good. Pro's Large ammo capacity Rechargeable battery 8 rounds a second Con's A little bulky Can't really aim, but not really needed. If you can get this gun at a good price, I got it for $85 during Christmas, I would say buy it. But at $149 its a little pricy, thats just my opinion. ... show more

  • Powerhouse of a blaster all pros no cons
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Nerf put a new meaning to monster when they made this blaster. It truly does shoot the acclaimed 8 rounds/sec at 100FPS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR UNDER 10!!!!!!! This blaster hits like a freight train and is heavy in comparison to other blasters. PROS -Accuracy -hop up( allows for greater ranges) - Rate of fire -Rechargeable batt -ergonomics( SUPAH COMFY) -capacity of 200+ rounds This thing has very few cons but if you are picky here ya go CONS -heavy( not really) -ammo consumption, You will find yourself doing a lot of reloading with this blaster -(can not think of another con just adding a bullet point to make the list look long ;) Overall Pick this up here on Amazon as it is defiantly worth the big bucks and like if this comment was helpful! I might be a teenager on his parents' account reviewing Nerf guns but at least yall know its reliable..... MORE INFO------> 1. GO TO YOUTUBE 2. SEARCH COOP772 PROMETHEUS ... show more

  • Great blaster, but not for everybody
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This is an amazing blaster! I've been having a blast with the Prometheus, pun intended. It's an absolute fire hose that can mow down Zombies(aka Zeke) or opposing Nerf players. I feel like Jesse Ventura in Predator with this beast. The print says it can hold 200 High-Impact Rounds, but it can hold up to 300! However, you'd want to keep it around 250, maybe 275, but any more than that and the rounds will be so compacted that the HIR's won't fall into the agitator and that's no bueno. For the Cons, the price is the big one. I was able to get it for half the price and I would balk at paying $200. 150 is more doable. The other is the ammo. As I said, this is a fire hose and if you're not shooting in short, controlled bursts, you will run out fairly fast. It will cost a pretty penny to maintain the ammo. That said, I recommend this blaster to anyone who doesn't mind shelling out the money for this. But it's not for everyone. The Prometheus is designed to shoot from the hip, so firing positions are limited. The sling and handle helps with the movement, but some people just will not like it because they prefer to aim and fire, and that's okay. Saying this blaster is better or worse than the Nemesis is comparing apples to oranges. The Nemesis isn't going away anytime soon because of its versatility. The Prometheus is mainly for suppression fire and Zombie slicing. Looking forward to using this for Endwar. Teammates will love me and Zeke will hate me! ... show more
