Easy to set the channels. Colors are vibrant, and kid friendly. Makes a loud beep when you turn it on each time. All of the buttons are legible and easy to read but I noticed a small paint defect on one of the up arrows. Each unit uses 4 AAA batteries. I had a hard time installing the batteries in the back of the unit due to the position of the carrying clip, but I noticed afterwards that the clips are removable. My friends and I bought these to bring along on a Pedal Pub Bar Crawl a few weeks ago. The forecast called for pouring rain, and we didn't want to risk ruining our phones while trying to stay in contact from bar to bar. These bad boys held up during the downpour, had a built-in convenient clip to hook on belt loops/purses, and were an absolute HOOT. We got stopped multiple times in the bars by people asking where we got these walkie-talkies from and saying how hilarious it was to see a bunch of 20-somethings carry these around instead of cell phones. The range is less than the documents would lead you to believe, but stay within that radius and you'll figure it out. These are cute for little kids and okay for a river cleanup or something out in the open where you can't shout. My kid uses them with the greatest of ease. These walkie talkies were fun. They come in a small box but are brightly colored. You get a good range with these. The kids had a blast using these. So far they have held up well without any issue. Good quality. We are happy with them.

These little walkie talkies are great for the kids. They are surprising packed with features seen in more expensive radios and 22 channels. We haven’t tested the range claim of 3 KMs but we use these with the neighbors at about 200 feet away and hear them clearly. The only downside is that they require 4 AAA batteries. ... show more

Easy set up. Kids were using them and loving them within minutes of unboxing. Great sound quality. Seem well made as a toy. My only complain is they do drain batteries quickly. Take 4 batteries each we are going to need more very soon.

We got these walkie talkies as an easy way for my dad to contact my brother when he's working out on the place. Cell phones don't work in our area very well. These worked great for about three hours. Then the batteries ran out. If you leave them on where you can contact each other, that pulls all the juice out of the batteries. These would be great if you are just playing for an hour or so. The sound is good, but I think rechargeable batteries would be much better. ... show more

The sound is great, it’s clear enough to understand. Product is well made and can handle drops and tossing. Depending how old your kids are, not the easiest to use in terms of finding the correct radio frequency. The scan button just keeps scanning and doesn’t auto detect the other walkie talkie. It’s overall fun, the kids like to hide at different rooms and talk to each other. There is even a”ring” feature, that notifies the other device.
