I work in the automotive industry, and consistently have a steady stream of black cars that come in with minor rock chips. Rather than getting a special paint match jar for EVERY variety of black, I decided to try this touch up paint. I was extremely surprised with how easy it is to use, and how well it blends with a plethora of different blacks. The paint brush tip makes it extremely easy to apply, it dries quickly, and isn't a hassle to remove if I leave a drip mark. This is a piano black (no metallic flake) but in small quantities (2-3 rock chips), it's been a lifesaver. Already used it on a Tesla and an X3M with no issues. If you're looking to touch up a few minor rock chips without spending a fortune on OEM paint, this works well. My customers are happy and so am I, all thanks to this little bottle. When the product arrived I was excited to try until I opened it and it was already broken!!! Ink/paint everywhere!!! Then it was impossible to use because the pen tip didn’t work and the brush was stuck inside the bottle. Never again!!!!!

Is it a perfect match to my car paint? No. Is it close? Yes. Can you tell up close that it is just a touch up? Yes. From 10 ft away? Probably not. Bottom line, if you have a little paint damage that you don't want to be as noticeable, but you didn't want to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on a paint job, this will do that. Don't buy it thinking it's going to magically disguise it. It will cover it up as much as you should expect it to for the price. The photos seem to indicate that this paint will magically make your scratches disappear. I went in with a bit more realistic expectations. I figured it would at least look a bit better and keep the paint from flaking. But the included brush made a mess out of the application process. The bottle had apparently leaked. So maybe the paint started to congeal. I actually wound up with more paint on my hands and shirt than on my car. All in all, a total waste of money (in my case). Perhaps there was some user error involved (hence the 3 stars). I just wanted to make folks aware that if you go into buying this thinking your results will look just like the pictures, you might be disappointed. I guess if you have a very large scratch and don't really care about your car/how it looks, and ANYTHING would be an improvement, maybe give this a shot. I am a mobile detailer and I have used this once, decent product, in my case it worked really well. I was touching up the rim on a Range Rover Sport for a client, it was supposed to be temporary until I could get paint with the proper color-match for his rims. However, with some decent prep-work and using this pen, the result came out so good that when I was about to show the client where I fixed the damage, we couldn't find it :) it was like it was never there, I take some credit for that of course, any job is only as good as your prep work, but the color matched so good not being the correct color-code that the client accepted the touch-up job with this pen as the permanent fix. This was done now about six months ago, and I do weekly maintenance washes on this car and it still doesn't show where we fixed it so the paint seem to hold up good. Definitely worth it for some light touch-ups. If you need to actually paint on the paint, I would suggest buying small precision brushes from an art store, the brushes that comes with any of these type kits or what not are usually pretty cheap or is not the proper size or softness you need, which can vary depending on the task, and the bristles will eventually go in all kinds of directions making it difficult to make a nice and discreet touch-up job. I’ve got a red mini that needs a few spots touched up and was hoping this would be close enough. Easy enough to use and best if you use a toothpick instead of the brush so you don’t get too much on but be careful not to get it everywhere. I wouldn’t use this on spots so obvious because color matching is t accurate but just helps with it in case you need a quick cheap option. ... show more
