Was skeptical about plastidip, but for the price decided to try it on my first gen Toyota wheels. Easy application, no running or clotting, looks great with or without the glossifier!

Used the plastidip on my front chin spolier and rear diffuser. Turned out great with 5 coats on each one and 30 mins in-between coats. I soaked the csn in hot water for 10 mins each time to smooth out atomization. Worked excellent!!! Was my first time using plasti dip and I must say it seems like good stuff! Time will tell how long it lasts. I glossified the chin spoiler but liked the look of the satin on my diffuser so no glossifier for it. It really seems versatile and really seems to adhere to clean surfaces quite easily! I used a thin initial coat then went thicker each time! Go out and buy this versatile product. ... show more

Great product. easy to use. Haven't peeled or wore off, yet. Decided to do this as a winter project. To protect my chrome rims from salt and water. So my chrome won't rust or corrode. Cuz let's face it. I'm not power washing my rims once a wk. during the winter months. So i heard plasti dip can help protect my chrome rims. It yet has to snow. Snow i mean a couple of feet. I haven't washed my truck yet. I'm sort of worried if the underline power wash will peel the plasti dip off my rims. Eventually I will take my truck to a car wash. From what I understand the more coats the better results. And easier to come off. It's peels off like a decal. It does say on the can weather resistant. Against any type of elements. So far so good. i applied 4 coats on each tire. starting from light coat. and eventually heavy coat. Then added the gloss coat. I used up 3 cans out of 4 total. I advise taking the tires off. And laying em down. 2 tires at a time. But you can do this without taking the tires off. But you have to cover up behind the rim. I don't mind taking my time and making a day out of it. Some ppl only takes em a few hrs. YouTube has videos and helpful tips. But in the end I'm happy with the outcome. ... show more

I'm loving the results. It's very easy to apply and pretty foolproof as long as you do your research and prep your wheels well beforehand. I did 6 coats which only used 3 cans, so I used the leftover to black out the emblems on my car. I only did 2 coats of the glossifier and am happy with the slight shine. The spray trigger is a bit flimsy and cheap, but definitely helps avoid hand strain when you're applying so many layers. Definitely worth a shot for a cheap visual enhancement, and fairly easy to remove if you screw up or change your mind later ... show more

I really wasn’t a fan of the silver on my stock rims but didn’t want to spend $400+ on new wheels. There was more than enough in this kit to do all 4 of my rims. I would say definitely take your time. I got a little over zealous towards the end. Ended up doing 4 coats as it started to build up a little too much (my fault). Didn’t want glossy but didn’t want matte either so I was able to get an almost perfect Satin with the glossifier.
