I had been looking for some small lamps for a while to put on my bathroom counters, but just didn't find anything that impressed me until now. these beautiful lamps have a hammered look and feels to be made of glass with a coating of brushed antique bronzeish gold spray paint. the lamp shades are a beige linen color with hints of darker beige and brown (perfect!), I couldn't believe the shades matched my living room shades to the tee! depending on the kind of bulb you use, will determine the brightness and warmth you want, and low watt decorative bulb is best for a low level lighting atmosphere. These lamps are super cute and just the vibe I was going for in my study. They are tiny, but no smaller than the description (12 inches tall). They take 60 watt bulbs and provide lots of light, and they were packed well with lampshades intact (no roll-out velcro business). I searched for a while, until I came across these beautiful lamps. the color of the glass drew me in and that it had a basic touch base to turn the lamp on and off was a plus. I purchased them on sale (set of two) and was happy when they arrived. They arrived wonderfully wrapped and packaged in the shipping box. The color of the glass in person - spectacular! The shades arrive flat, so you have to carefully wrap them around the metal shade frames - best if you have someone helping to make sure top and bottom of shade is even.
