I bought the phone to only use on wi-if or personal hot spot for games. It works great! Better than an iPad for GPS purposes. It is a bit slow though. You have to be slightly more patient for this phone to do things but it does do it! And I only say slightly because it’s honestly not that bad. The battery life lasts probably a whole day, a little more if you don’t use it. Not strong but it’s all I need and that’s why they made external batteries to carry around for an extra charge if needed. It is a lightweight comfortable phone. A great phone for the price. Was easily able to transfer phone with my cell phone provider. If you've had a Samsung phone previously, you'll find the A01 model has similar operation model. Easy to set up and operate.

Amazing phone! I got it for my Goddaughter, just to be able to get a call from her to pick up after school, and when I tell you, it's so convenient! It last all school day and even after school and I cannot be more blessed and thankful to get this for her.

I hate giving bad reviews but i felt like i needed to....... so I bought 2 of these for my kids for their bdays this year(feb 2022) and not even a month later my son's phone wont even turn on, ive tried restarting it, ive tried rebooting it..nope nothing...just very disappointed! My daughter's phone still works so that is why i gave 3 stars and also it was a pain in the a$$ to have it activated idk what is going on with total wireless (ive never had problems with them before) but I couldnt activate it online like my other previous phones so had to call them up, what usually takes 10 minutes took an hour! I'm hoping everyone else has better luck and im keeping my fingers crossed for my daughter's phone ... show more

    • No Service Plan / Could Not Activate - Terrible Amazon Support
I purchased this phone and "free" $35 plan, but the plan is actually not free. When I tried to activate the phone on the website, it asks for the Service Plan PIN. Since I didn't receive a PIN, I came back to my order information on Amazon and clicked the button "Get Support." I was connected to someone named Savoyo in customer service. He instructed me to look through the Samsung phone's operator manual to find the Service PIN, and when I couldn't find anything for the Total Wireless Service Plan in the Samsung manual, he told me to call the manufacturer, because that would be easier (I'm assuming that he meant that it would be easier for him, that is.). When I told him that Samsung has nothing to do with Amazon not fulfilling an order correctly or the actual cellular service plan that comes with the phone, he told me to call Total Wireless. I told him that Amazon is the merchant and Amazon didn't fulfill my order - there is an item missing, there is no plan included with the phone! I also explained that Amazon has a button on the order that says, "Get Support" and when I clicked on it, I was connected to him. Savoyo at Amazon Customer Service said, "I did not put the information on the website and I am only able to advised you on contacting Total Wireless." I told him that he was just passing the buck, and that I ordered something from Amazon and did not receive everything in the order. He said, "It would be better to make that assumption after the manufacturer is spoken with." I said, "there is no assumption here. I'm not sure what you are insinuating. I paid for something that I did not receive and they are charging me for it when it was supposed to be included. How is this an assumption? As far as I can see, it is a genuine fact." I told him that I didn't need to hear excuses and that he was just arguing with me. He disagreed and said he wasn't making excuses or arguing with me. He didn't put that information on the Amazon page - so it's not his fault I guess. He's not responsible for doing his job and providing support as indicated by the "Get Support" button that connects customers to him at his place of employment (Amazon) because he didn't put the button there in the first place! When I told him Now, hours later, I have received absolutely no assistance from Amazon who gladly accepted my payment when I placed an order for a phone that includes one month of service only to find out that I was being charged $35 when I tried to activate the phone. I'm just out $65 and have a non-operational phone. Meanwhile, I did contact Total Wireless. They confirmed that there was no free plan included with this phone and that Amazon had not reserved a plan. The merchant is supposed to reserve the plan when you buy the phone, but Savoyo in customer service at the merchant (Amazon) doesn't know anything about any of that because he wasn't the one who put the button on the Amazon site. Total Wireless said they will have a technician call me back - in FOUR hours. I am so disappointed in Amazon for the shoddy, subpar service. Train your people. This "customer service rep" should not be engaging with customers - or should I say arguing with customers. ... show more

    • SIM card is inside phone
When we got it we thought we were missing the SIM card. After a trip to Walmart to buy a SIM card thinking it was missing the worker there told us these phones have them inside the phone already. When we popped the card a lot out we didn’t pull it out far enough, the first slot is for the micro SD card the second is the SIM card slot.
