The set I received came with two pairs (four total) plastic paddles and two suction cups and two soft, fuzzy balls. The paddles have Velcro hooks on one side and a smooth plastic surface on the other. The Velcro hooks are pretty good at catching the soft, fabric balls if they touch. The smooth side on the other hand only catches the suction cup balls if they hit at exactly the right angle. Generally, the suction cups will bounce off. They look cheap, but the paddles feel relatively solid and I would expect them to last at least one summer. While I don't expect that the soft balls will stand up to much outdoor use (though their softness (much like a plush toy) makes them suitable for indoor use. You could break especially fragile things by knocking them over but they're not going to do much damage to walls, windows, doors, or furniture. As long as you're not in the same room as great grandma's precious moments figurines its probably okay. This turned out to be a bit too basic for my children--i expect that 7 years old or so is probably the upper limit before just trying to toss the ball back and forth and catch it on the paddle gets boring. ... show more

This is a great set I took one star off because Im not sure on the long term durability, it has a cheap look to it yet does play or feel like its cheap. We as a family like these better with the handles then the velcro hand paddle ones I was buying for years. The balls are great though once the sucker ones got a bit dirty from the ground they didn’t stick so good a little soap and water fixed that right up. These are so much fun ! Now that summer is here we spend a lot of time outdoors and looking for fun games to play . We have had similar catch games like this but those were with mits . This is the first time we had a ball catch game with velcro that was paddles . It comes with two sets which is great so more than two people can play at once. The colors are nice and bright so you can see it easily when you are throwing and catching . It comes with two types of balls and each paddle has two sides. One side is velcro and has a light ball that sticks to it. What makes this better then other similar ones is these balls aren’t the tennis ball style ones that all the fuzz comes off and gets stuck , they are softer style balls and they don’t have fuzz on them . They stick to the paddle and they come off easily Without having to rip them off. The good thing about it being paddles instead of mitts is your had is not stuck in it, you have more movement . The other ball is unique it has a bunch of little suction cups on it and it works with the smooth side of the paddle. At first I didn’t think it was going to hold when thrown but was I wrong ! The ball sticks perfectly to the paddle ands again easy to remove. This would be great for all ages. Since the balls sick easily it makes catch for the little ones easier. Best part about this set is that it comes with 4 paddles and 2 sets of balls, so you can get a group in on the action. The paddles are sized for kids, as intended, so when you are asked to play with them, yes, they feel a little small. I had some trouble getting the balls to always stick, but that makes the game fun.
