I couldn't believe the quality of this helmet as compared to the price and what I typically paid in the past. The bluetooth feature is spot on, only over 70mph does the sound suffer and the same for using the phone. Around 75mph it's hard to hear the caller and it's hard for the caller to hear you, but below those speeds it's great. Listening to music, same. The sun visor.....AWESOME...I love this feature, easy to use, and I just can't believe the amount of ease, features and quality in such an economical price range. This helmet could be by far the best purchase I have ever made on Amazon! Hands down, the best value for my money! I was pleasantly surprised with all the features in the helmet. I had only purchased it for the colors and sleek design, but then I realized it was Boue Tooth capable, had a sun visor that can retract, and had the best fit and chin strap ever. The acoustics are wonderful. Phone calls are loud and crystal clear. Music is very good, though not the deepest base, but works well enough. Simple instructions to connect my phone and all the music I could ever want to hear. A perfect helmet! ... show more

Helmet fits nice for having a big head. Orederd an XL. Sharp clean helmet. Looks really nice. The Bluetooth charging port is a bit tricky to find but it’s nice because it’s not in the way. It’s at the back side of the helmet under the padding. I broke the cover off right away but it’s nothung important. Ordered a little bit darker visor but with the drop down inside visor I might not need it. Overall I’m happy with it. Haven’t used the Bluetooth yet but will update later. ... show more

    • Nice helmet but bluetooth is a joke

I just purchased this helmet and I like it, fits well my small head (XS) although for me it's a little elongated front-back. Seems like nice cushioning. However, it took me a long time to find the USB charger for the bluetooth, then I could not plug in the charger cable as the side of the helmet's hard outside is in the way. I had to struggle with it for a long time and I thought I plugged it in and no light came on. Then I sent an email to ask for help and instructions, they sent me a very basic bluetooth guide, which was nice, but it had not much useful into. Then I called back that no light comes on when I try truing it on, they told me that I have to have the helmet plugged in for a "hard reset" so I couldn't find where the USB was, even though I already found it once. They said to call them back as they're busy and can't wait. So finally I did find it then again a 15 min struggle to plug in the thing. Then the red light came on so I realized it never got it plugged in correctly the first time. Anyway, I got the bluetooth working without any help but its volume is just so so low that even inside my home, with no outside noise (forget about a motorcycle engine), I can hardly hear the phone or music. It's probably ok to not to have to take the helmet off to answer my phone when I'm parked in a quiet place... And I can't even imagine how a "burly man" with large, thick fingers can EVER plug the charger in (I'm a woman with long, thin fingers). But I guess for the price, it's ok. ... show more

Light weight with lots of paddling and no wind noise. Comfortable and DOC approved. If you’re looking for a nice looking helmet and easy to put on and off. Lots of compliments. Worth the money and would recommend

At first it seemed like a good deal, $200 for a bluetooth helmet with a ECE rating. But then I got it and I severely misjudged it. It was way worse than it looked. None of the vents or visors seal great so the wind is loud. The d rings are too far to one side the comfortably lace them. The shell it self feels ok, but low quality. And the Bluetooth didn't work at all no matter what I did. Save your money and buy something else. ... show more

The helmet fits good, doesn't wiggle around when hitting bumps Sun visor is fantastic although almost feels like its going to break when lowering it. The Bluetooth is very nice to have but is not loud enough to hear over 35 mph with volume at 100% on iphone and helmet, but then again the right speaker doesn't work very often either. Helmet whistles above 45 mph, will have to experiment to get this to stop after I get a replacement helmet. Talking to wife on the phone using the Bluetooth there is quite a bit of static on her end she hears, (not driving down the road but sitting 200 feet away from her outside with bike off. Podcasts aren't loud enough to hear/understand above 40 mph, haven't tried music yet, Only taken it on two trips running errands. UPDATE: Asked for exchange because the right speaker did not always work After asking for a replacement I was told a new speaker could fix it, after 10 days I followed up and found out they hadn't mailed the speakers yet. I was sent a new speaker after two weeks later to replace myself. This did not fix the issue, after emailing to follow up for next steps I was told to mail the helmet to an address given, at this point I'm ready to just return it or dispute it, sellers are kind of a PITA to work with. I'm asking for a return label or new helmet to be sent with a return label enclosed. After an 800 mile round trip, the speakers are inaudible at highway speeds. Speakers are okay I guess for in town, but that might be fixed if the right speaker worked. Also, emails are coming from MAXHELMETS ... show more
