In 1925, Rinaldo and Ezilda Torre visited family in Lucca, Italy. The two returned home to their native San Francisco with something very important: handwritten recipes, which they used to create authentic flavored syrups. These syrups helped Rinaldo and Ezilda reintroduce the Italian soda to their neighborhood. Years later, our syrup was used to create the world’s first flavored latte! I put a little of this in my espresso, like just one squirt, it turns into chocolate heaven. Espresso, no matter the kind to me, tastes like dirt. Now, I am used to this dirt and I actually like how espresso tastes now. But with this, oh boy, game changer.

I tend to lean toward Torani syrups for my coffee making, since the flavor is usually pleasant and the aroma enjoyable. This was my first time trying this flavor, and I'm hooked....but I'm also a chocolate fan. The very dark coloring looks nice in the bottle, and the flavor is very present but doesn't overpower the coffee (I use about 3 pumps (1+ Tablespoon). its not so much the "syrup" as it has more of a liquid/water base...the calories and added sugar are outrageous... lol however.. very good. it mixes well (when you add a lot)..LoL its doesn't have high-fructose corn sryup unless its labeled under a different name. My Coffee: Large DDonut size cup Small ice cubes/tray of 12 cubes 1 1/2 pint milk (the little k-12 milks) lol, 1 6oz k-cup, then add the syrup (less is more)... YOU CANT TAKE IT OUT ONCE YOU ADD IT! lol ... show more

This stuff tastes great in hot coffee. I'm going to try it in iced coffee like I intended to when I bought it. It smells good as well and is in a durable, quality bottle.

The bottle was glass, and some of the syrup had spilled outside the lid, and crystallized around the inside. The quality of the syrup is delicious though, but shipping could be better having it stored upright, which is why I think it spilled out.

This is sweet but if you put in coffee gradually you can avoid ruining your coffee. Gotta play around with it to find your perfect ratio.

With COVID19 and shifting to working from home, I've been missing my usual coffee shop drinks. When my shop started selling bottles of their cold brew, I knew I had to get some of this Torani Chocolate Milano syrup so I could make my drinks from home. This bottle will last me a long time -- a little bit of syrup goes a long way, and Torani syrups are much thicker than the DaVinici brand of flavored syrup I've used before. I love having that "coffee house taste" from home :) Can't wait to find other uses for the syrup as well. P.S. Yes, the syrup will crystallize around the rim of the bottle's opening. Maybe if you wiped it down after each use it wouldn't do that. I don't bother, because the crystals are basically a solid form of the syrup so who cares if some gets in my drink. ... show more
